my turn for an insurance vent

We went to a network hospital...with a network OB and pediatrician. But the hospital used an out of network group for all of the in hospital newborn care and if course we didn't have a choice (or know).

Hundreds and hundreds of dollars in bills we didn't account for. Awesome.

I would definitely try to fight that. How the heck are you supposed to know that one facet of your care isn't covered when everything else-including the hospital itself is!?!

If it makes you feel any better I'm currently in a backnforth with HR about DDs coverages. She keeps screwing up the paperwork and I keep having to bug her to fix it

That happened to a coworker. She disputed it seeing as she didn't have a choice. Insurance sent her something to sign. She did. They sent her a check for 100% of the total charges.
