Elevated FSH level

My husband and I are currently trying for baby #1. 8 years ago I tried to donate my eggs, but was told my FSH level was too high with my AFC borderline at 14 and I may need help when I was ready to start a family. Has anyone on here had a successful pregnancy, or know someone that has had one, with an elevated FSH level? It's only been a few months, but it's hard not to stress knowing what I do from those test results.

    I personally only had AMH problems, but I have seen ladies with FSH or both AMH/FSH have success.  They may recommend injections with IUI or IVF in order for you to take a strong level of meds.  If I recall correctly, my RE said that FSH would be an indicator of how easily you'd respond to meds...but I'm not 100%.  

    Are you seeing an RE?  If you are over 35, you can see an RE after 6 months of trying.  They'll normally see you after 12 months if you are under 35.  However, I was able to get the testing done at 9 months, since I have a family history of IF problems - they just didn't recommend treatment until I hit the 1 year mark.  Hopefully you have luck and get your BFP before you get to that point, but if you don't, seeing an RE will help put you at ease.  Even if you don't feel ready for treatment, they can check your bloodwork and tubes and give you an outline of options to try.

    Also, if you lurk around the PAIF and SAIF boards from your desktop, a lot of us still list our diagnosis in our siggy.  So you can see what everyone was dealing with before they got their BFP.

    I made an appt go to in January. I was told to try for 6 months, then go in and January will be 5 months. Close enough for me!

    I have elevated FSH but normal AMH and my AFCs kind of vary... I've have as high as 22 and as low as 15 over the several months of treatments we did. For my IVF cycle my AFC was 15 I believe.

    I was told elevated FSH can possibly mean diminished ovarian reserve but not always.

    I have elevated FSH and low AMH.  My diagnose is in my soggy.  It took my 5 fresh IVF cycles before we got our DD.  I did get pregnant 2 other times but sadly they resulted in m/c.  I just completed my 6th IVF cycle and am currently 5 weeks 2 days pregnant.  Praying this little one sticks too!  Good luck to you!

Beta #2 2/8/13 - 586! , Beta #3 2/10/13 = 1898. First u/s perfect little heart beat at 116 bpm. Measure 6 weeks 1 day. EDD 10/14/13
    3/4/13 measuring right on track beautiful heartbeat 171 bpm, graduated from RE to OB... bittersweet.

    appointment with MFM 1/5.  Looks like this is really happening!

    My FSH level was at 13.1. My estrogen level appeared to be good at that time. I don't know any of the other levels that also need to be considered along with FSH. I was 26 when I tried to donate and I am now 34. They told me my follicle count was borderline at 14 and that when I was ready to start a family, that I needed to come in after 6 months if I hadn't gotten pregnant by that time.
