  • Call your doctor. Those can be a sign of high blood pressure and you need to have it checked out. Even if you do suffer from occasional migraines. Those spots can be an indication that capillaries are bursting. And I don't mean to worry you, that's a sign that I have to be on the look out for and call my dr asap if I have. I got put on bedrest this week bc of my blood pressure. IMHO better safe than sorry. Keep us posted :)

  • I have chronic vascular migraines. I always see spots on the onset of a really bad migraine. Hopefully if you take some meds it will go away. If not just try to get some sleep. They are annoying but they won't last forever!!
  • If this isn't part of your "normal" headache phenomenon you need to call and inform the doctor and get instructions. Do not go off of an internet diagnosis. Just call.

  • Never hurts to call.

FWIW, I get random ocular migraines here and there, I had one this week actually.  I mentioned it to my OB yesterday and she said it's unfortunately not that uncommon (I had my BP checked and stuff).  Besides that, I have had a few instances like you described, for me it's usually after I bent over to pick something up and came up too fast.  I've been reminded to stay hydrated!  I hope it's no big deal for you either, but as the other ladies said, it never hurts to make a phone call if you're concerned.

  • I know when I get up too fast, I see "stars" or spots. I agree with PP, though. Wouldn't hurt to call your doctor.
  • We don't know that this woman has migraines at all. She didn't say that she has migraines, only headaches and not all headaches are migraines. Getting spots when you change positions is a different symptom too with a whole different range of diagnostic possibilities. OP said she got it at rest, laying in bed and while sitting.

OP, call your doctor or midwife.
