What can I do to help dialate my cervix?

This is my 2nd pregnancy.
I am currently 39 weeks and my doctor said my cervix is thinning a little bit but I have not started dilating yet.

What can I do to quicken this process.
I do not want another late induced pregnancy and I'm so ready too meet my little prince.

which is a problem, since I still have god knows how many weeks of pregnancy left and little self control.. And Gingerbread Oreos?! Get out!! I didn't see any at Target today O.O

THIS. No one can tell you when your baby will or will not come. Every woman also has a different gestation period, because we are humans not robots. My midwife has had all of her 4 children at 10-16 days past the 40 week mark, even though she ovulated on time. If you and the baby are doing fine there is no reason to worry at all.
