Have you given it to your baby? If not, would you if they needed it? Just trying to get Edolie some relief so she can get some good rest! Pic of back below.

She's been sick since Sunday. Clear runny nose but mostly draining to her throat and a bad cough that seems to be getting worse. Even sitting up she's started the gasping, harsh cough.
And thank you, I love it too.

A barky cough sounds like a seal. Indicates croup. You would know it if you heard it. It generally gets worse at night (like, comes out of nowhere and at 2 am your kid is wheezing and barky-coughing).

Hmmm... I don't think so. What would that indicate?
Croup has a barking sound cough.
My pedi has said nothing at this age besides tylenol/ibuprofen. She recommended that we sit in the bathroom with the shower going for steam, and use a cool mist humidifier.
Also, my DD's ear infections also come with a cough and clear runny nose, could that be possible?
@misskristina21 I was wondering if it could be her ears because when I put my hands on the side of her head, she whines and pulls them down. But she hasn't really been pulling at her ears or acting fussy other than when she's tired, so I'm not sure.
And no, I don't think she has croup, thank goodness!

@edoliesmom DD has never pulled on her ears, has only rubbed them, just once. They always start off with the cough and runny nose, and then progress into not sleeping well and decreased appetite.
Not trying to worry you, just offering a suggestion. She might just have a cold as well. The steam from the shower really helps my girls with congestion.
@misskristina21 You're not worrying me. I don't think it's ear-related because she got whatever my husband brought home. Neither of us have had any ear problems, but I don't know if it would manifest in babies differently or affect them differently.

I'd go to the doctor just incase. When Olivia was sick a few months ago, we were worried it was the entrovirus, or whatever it's called. Gasping for air while coughing/ can't catch breath was a symptom. I think it's best to do a dr visit so you're not worrying about what ifs.
Hylands makes an all natural cough medicine that is ok for 6months and up. It's not a true cough syrup and isn't drug based. It's been a MIRACLE product for both my kiddos!
Evie is going through the same thing. So far it's constant nose suctions and humidifier. Extra fluids like water help loosen the crap. I may try elderberry concentrate I have on hand if it doesn't have honey in it. If it was enterovirus there'd be wheezing. Going in for a cold is kinda pointless. Hope she feels better soon! Almost every baby I know is sick right now.
Sorry your sweetie is feeling yucky too. My husband is a teacher, so unfortunately he's going to be coming into contact with a bunch of crap this season! I've lectured him about washing his hands and using hand sanitizer so he doesn't bring any of that home with him. I agree about going to the doctor. I might call, but making an appointment wouldn't do either of us any good.
