Re: *~September Sapphires Check-In~* (Nov 18th)

  • Hi Sapphires! Hope all your weeks are starting off well. AFM, I don't have too much to report. Last week I had my first appointment with the new doctor. She was nice and all but told me that my needs were beyond her purview and referred me to the practice's RE. I was expecting this to mean that I wouldn't get in to see someone until after the New Year. Well, in a shocking turn of events, I have an appointment on Thursday. We'll see.

QOTW: I swear I wasn't looking for dirty stuff when I asked this, but... Last night MH and I showered together for the first time in a long time. Between sucking at TTC and living with my parents, our sex life hasn't been super fun lately. Yesterday really turned things around. I'm so relieved, to say the least.

  • Thanks for the check in @eliida‌ ! Four weeks from today this will all be over- I cannot wait. The pain/pressure has picked back up (I'm on CD26) and I'm guessing as my lining thickens it'll get worse, and AF will be dreadful (one more AF till surgery to get through). I Could use any prayers possible that the surgery goes well and he is able to complete it vaginally- they are inserting a scope and camera laporoscopic ally as there is little room for error in case he goes through my lining.

    BFP #3 07.18.2014, MC 07.31.2014 5w6d

DX: RPL due to submucosal uterine fibroid. Hysteroscopy 12/16. All clear!

  • @LauraO11 Can you take anything extra for the pain this month? That sounds dreadful. T&P that the doctor will be able to complete the procedure vaginally. Do you know yet if you'll be under GA or local anesthetic?
  • Thanks for the check-in @eliida! That's great that you are able to get in so quickly with the RE!

@LauraO11 I'll definitely be thinking of you!

AFM I am really nervous for tomorrow. I have been researching like crazy to figure out what to expect, and I am a little scared. My mom is going with me. I also hope that it's not too painful because I have to go to work and be on my feet for the rest of the day. Oy. Hopefully, it's not too bad..

QOTW: I have been reading a lot!! I just joined a book club and our first meeting is on Thursday! I am so excited! I forgot how nice it is to lose yourself in a good story.
  • Thanks for the check in @eliida. Also, thank you for your sweet words from last week's check in. They meant a lot to me. :D

Treatment break is going ok. I have no idea what my body is doing and I am not sure it knows either. I am enjoying not having to plan my life around u/s and bw. It's kind of nice and I know I will be spoiled by this by the time we start back up again. On a super happy note (b/c I haven't had a lot of those lately) I won a scholarship for a free class!! Yay me!! This all happened in my open house for grad school. Andplusalso, if things go according to plan, I will be starting school in JANUARY!! Guess it's time for me to find my smart glasses!
    :-B

QOTW: I read. Like a lot. It's ridiculous, but it keeps me sane. Although, I will say, H and I have been making out a lot, which is pretty awesome as well!!

@LauraO11 ((Hugs)) I will be thinking about you!
@ashlee113085 I hope your HSG is easy on you! ((Hugs)) sweetie.
@eliida GL with the RE. I know it's scarier than you want. Make sure you take a notebook to write down everything b/c it will be a lot. Also, if you have questions write them down now, so you can ask them. Otherwise, you will be so overwhelmed you will forget to ask.

    All Welcome

  • Thanks ladies. @eliida‌ , he wants to do general, as they are going both vaginally and laporoscopic ally to monitor from the outside- I trust his judgement and had no difficulties with GA when I had a D&C in April.

  • @megrae12 that sounds great!! What will you be studying?

Well...my HSG was canceled at the last minute today due to some emergency the RE was dealing with. I am super bummed. So now I have to wait until next week (assuming AF is on schedule). In the meantime though, he wants DH to have an SA, and I will go in for CD3 blood work once AF starts. *sigh* I am excited to get a plan going, but also very nervous/anxious/uncomfortable waiting and rescheduling and talking to different people and rescheduling. Oh well. Thanks for all the support ladies! Hopefully I will get some answers soon!
  • @megrae12‌ Congratulations on your scholarship! That's such fabulous news.

@LauraO11‌ I'm so glad to hear that you have a good relationship with the surgeon. That makes all the difference.

@ashlee113085‌ I'm so sorry that your HSG was rescheduled. That's so frustrating.

I'm a big reader, too. My happy place is lost in a book. :)
  • Hi ladies!  Sorry I've been MIA.  It's been a big adjustment getting used to a new job and a new city without my DH.  I'm starting to feel a little settled in but I'm heading home today and working from NJ next week due to the holiday.  I will be back in VA starting in Dec again.  Things are moving very slowly for my DH to get temporarily transferred here so I'm hoping it works out.  I hate living apart.

On the TTC front, we are just waiting for AF to return so we can schedule our next FET.  No signs of her yet.  If she waits too long, we will have to wait until next year.

Sending (((HUGS))) to everyone.  I'm hoping I will be more active again when things calm down for me.
