February 2013 Moms

I should have never night weaned :(

#1 - I hate that my period is back.  DH wants to wait to get pregnant again until we move and have a plan for where we'll be living next year.  That means that for the first time in our married life I have to worry about getting pregnant.  I don't like that stress and wish I didn't have to think about it.

#2 - I feel like I've gained weight.  At first I thought I was just bloated because of the period, but now I'm realizing that the thickness around my waist is sticking around.  I forgot that I'm not nursing around the clock, but haven't changed my eating habits to reflect that.  So now that's yet another thing to worry about.

While nursing on demand through the night was tiring, I'm now wondering if being a little sleepy was better than feeling stressed, fat, and bleeding for a week out of every month.  Grrrrrrrrr.

  • I'm trying to be sorry. ;)

No seriously, I really am. It sucks that it's adding more stress in your life. You certainly don't need that. I hope things with your living situation straighten out quickly! Did you ever figure out the closet thing? Was it mold? (Was that you?)

  • You're nuts, sleep :)  The good thing is if you got pregnant, it's not the end of the world so you don't have to be militant about it.  My cycles are really regular so a combination of condoms and withdrawal (sorry for TMI) has been fine here.  Not as good as not having to pay any attention at all of course, but not as bad as it could be either.

I never lost a pound nursing and haven't lost a pound since I stopped.  Hormones suck.

We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.

We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.

  • Ugh I hate periods. Seriously I'm done having children I really don't want to deal with them anymore.
