Yea we did that this year, snatched up the 2014 vacation request the day they came in & scheduled ourselves off around Christmas. & she has bitched & moaned about it all year, even tho as I previously stated maternity leave ended up taking all my vac time & she will get to be off 3 days at christmas & the week after anyways. But we have heard all year how she won't let that happen again.
She is the bitchiest of bitchy co-workers. Our boss just left the company (he was a pushover) & we'll be getting a new boss soon & I hope he will be more inclined to stand up to her. If not there will be riots!!
I want to verbally slap my H so hard right now. I asked him to switch loads Sunday night while I gave the baby a bath, so he took care of everything...so I thought. I just went down there to wash towels and realized that he took a whole load of darks out of the washer and put it in a hamper instead of the dryer (the load in the dryer wasn't dry yet or something I'm assuming) and never told me, so they sat there for two days in a wet pile. Now everything is still damp and stinky. I swear to god I'm raising TWO children some days.
@TyrannosaurusLex our family does sausage stuffing too! It is the best IMO. I'll even share the family secret. Watch out, it's fanceh.
1 box of Pepperidge Farm Paxo (stuffing mix) 1 onion diced 1 tube (why does that sound so disgusting?) of sausage. I think it's maple leaf brand, you find it in the frozen section. Cook a bit, stuff in bird. Done.
Lunch will be chicken lo mien, garlic shrimp, a small order of salt and pepper chicken wings, and pork dumplings. Do I want my dumplings fried or steamed?
for all the gluten free peeps. TJs just came out with a gluten free stuffing mix, I bought some for my mom & sister and they said it wasn't bad. It isn't like the fanceh dressing we usually make but a passable substitute.

@thebanich I put a full set on DD1 also. It took me a while. Not even an hour later she had peeled almost all of them off. The ones on her toes lasted quite a while though. How old is your DD? For some unkown reason, little ones under about 3, the nail polish tends to almost slide off. YKWIM? When I was a toddler teacher, I had a lot of little girls come in with painted nails and after a day it was almost gone.
Usually he's out in the warehouse or driving our truck so we get plenty of breaks from eachother....but we're slow as fuck lately so here he sits with me in our office...
@stra0111 she is 3.5 I didn't notice her picking at them but she does put her fingers in her mouth a lot. Probably not helpful. Oh well. No more turkey fingers for her!!
We're eating out for Thanksgiving this year.... all of H's family... apparently they don't want to do the usual cramming of their gigantic family into a tiny house with all the clean up and what not for once
I am perfectly OK with this because I just DGAF to exert any effort this holiday season.... and this just sounds so much simpler.
Christmas is still going to be a madhouse though... And I'm going to be 38 almost 39 weeks pregnant.
@luxannie I don't remember why you will be alone but you are absolutely welcome at any of my Thanksgivings (starting this Sunday) if you are anywhere close to TN. I will tell my grandma that you're Peggy, & she will remember you even tho we've never had a Peggy
@spacegirlspiff in 2007 I was a week over due with #2 at Christmas (she was born the 27th) & I did exactly nothing. I didn't even put up a tree. We had to sleep over at my in-laws so that Santa could come for DD1
I have some local buy and sell groups on my Facebook. I am mortified at how many people jump at buying a used car seat. I just want to comment links to car seat safety websites.
For years now we've hosted Thanksgiving on my dads side at our house & I LOVE it. I would do Thanksgiving & Christmas really. For me I am more relaxed hosting then the hussle & bussle of making something & traveling all over the place to get somewhere at a certain time.
This year my grandparents health dictates that instead of them traveling to us, we will travel to them & have Thanksgiving at their church. I'm bummed to not be hosting (& also that GPs health is declining, but such is the circle of life).

Ugh, I'm really sorry, @thebanich. That is so disappointing, especially a generic rejection.
Also, since you are the resident Jamberry expert.... Most if DDs fell off within 12 hours if me putting them on. Any thoughts on what went wrong?
I'm pretty terrible in the kitchen.
Perhaps Jamberry and 3 year olds just don't mix. It was freaking adorable while it lasted.
Fucking autocorrect.
