Howdy y'all, I am new to the board, so I hope its ok that I jump in here.  I guess things are going ok.  I am on CD5 of my 2nd cycle post MC.  I am doing a bit better now, but when AF showed up a few days ago, I was really bummed out.  I know that I shouldn't have had my hopes up since it was our first cycle trying since the MC, but I felt like our timing was good, so who knows.  Oh well, here is to hoping for the next cycle.

@agpjt413 - It sucks waiting for CD1 post MC.  It took me 10 weeks between my MC and AF to finally arrive.  Hang in there, and hopefully yours comes sooner than that.

QOTW - I like visiting places with snow for vacation (like snowboarding), but as a native Texan, I can't even imagine living in it every day!  I don't think I would be a fan of shoveling snow!

Welcome to the check in! I'm so sorry for your loss. It's absolutely ok that you join in :) That's what were here for! Your body is going through such a weird thing after a loss. I have my fx for you! Do you chart/temp? Do you use opks? ((hugs))

Thanks for the check in!  The Vegas party was so much fun!  I can't wait to post all about it on my blog :-)   I'm 14 DPO and took a test yesterday but it was a BFN so I'm just waiting for AF to show up.  Oh and my karyotype testing came back and everything was normal so yay for that!

QOTW-  I hate snow.   I live in Maryland but totally hate it.  This morning it was 14 degrees with windchill of -1 and it was miserable.
    *snip*

I'm sorry for the BFN. I'm glad your testing came back normal, that's great news! It was so cold here today as well. I just cannot stand the bone chilling cold days. I don't mind the snow, but man!

  • @rslh10 Thanks for the tag. Since my check-in last week my levels have gotten back to 0. I also went to the dr to talk about the MC and moving forward, he wants me to wait 2 cycles before trying again. I was really hoping I could go ahead and try now. So now I'm just waiting for AF to show back up and hoping that maybe I'll be able to try in January.

QOTW: I love the snow. I don't really like to play in it but I love to watch it.
I know it seems unfair that you are benched after having to deal with such shitty shits, but remember that your body has gone through something really traumatic and it needs time to heal. I know that I "thought" I felt ready asap after my loss, but looking back I realize I wasn't. I didn't give myself time to heal properly and honestly? I still have really bad days from it. Take the benched time to heal yourself emotionally, mentally, and physically. Were all here for you, and will be with you when you burn that bench! ((hugs))

Charting is the only thing keeping me semi-sane since there is no indication that i ovulated based on my temp.

Your chart looks pretty decent for the first time :) I noticed that you have EWCM and spotting at the same time on CD7 and then spotting on CD10? This was your first cycle post D&C right? It looks like your body is just working itself out. I know thats probably not what you want to hear, but it could be true! Are you testing OPKS 2x a day? I usually use them about 10-11am, then again about 3-4pm. I know it seems like a hassle, but some ladies have super super short surges and could miss it if they didn't test twice (or more!) a day. I'm guilty of taking 3 a day some cycles where I got super crazy. Also, another way to eliminate the guessing is to get the Clear Blue Digi tests. So easy. You get an open circle if you're negative, and a nice smiley face if you're positive! I'm not telling you to do that, or to test 3 times a day, just giving you information :)

If you need to add your chart to your siggy, on the FF mobile app do the following:
    • go to MORE in the top left of the app
    • go to the section that says "Share/Email Chart and Data"
    • Click "Create & Share Graphical Ticker"
    • From here it will prompt you to "Create" a ticker. You can choose your ticker back ground, and that jazz. After you finish it will give you a link to place in your siggy! From there just go to the preferences page on here, signature settings and that is where you will add that link!

ALSO-- You could just try this way
    •more
    •settings
    •charting home page
•copy the link that is below "preview your home page", and then come to TB. Go to preferences, siggy setting and Type "My Chart", or whatever you want it to say where someone would click on it. Then you highlight the words "My Chart", click the button up top of the html box that looks like a chainlink with a green circle (it's next to the picture looking button), then you will be promoted to paste that code for your FF home page there! Click save and bam, you should be done :)

  • Hi everyone, another newbie here, joining in. I intro'd a few days ago on the main board. It's been 4 weeks since I lost my son, no AF yet. DH and I are benched for now. My midwife said we should wait a minimum of 2 months, but 4 would be better. I'll be seeing an OBGYN in a couple weeks, and will find out then what, if any testing needs to be done before we can try again. Some days I resent having to wait, and tell myself I'm ready, and other days I'm glad we have to wait, as I can focus on healing emotionally.
Hi, welcome to the board. I am so sorry for the loss of your son. ((hugs)) Being benched is a hard thing, yes, but you have to remember that your body has just endured something very traumatic. Being benched for 2, or 4 months in the long run is going to be good for your body. I know it doesn't seem that way right now. Did you have a D&C? If so, that is very very hard on your lining, and those months you're going to spend benched are great for letting that heal up. There are ladies of all stages TTC wise that are benched for various reasons.

Your body needs to heal, your mind and heart need to heal as well. I know lots of ladies think they're ready to jump right back in, and you may very well be one and that's fine. But there are a lot of emotions that come after a loss, and a lot of those emotions come with milestones, when AF comes back, the first time having sex after a loss etc etc. I'm not telling you that you're a bad person for wanting to jump right back at it--Heck no. We all want to be pregnant YESTERDAY. Your feelings are normal, and I hope that your OB can give you a little insight into the bench time :)

  • @rslh10‌ THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I'm almost sure this will an annovulatory cycle. My darkest opk (not positive) was on cycle day 6 and they've been lighter since and yesterday there was barely a line. I do test twice a day usually between 2:30-3:30 and then again between 7:30-8:30. I read some the best times to test is between 2pm and 8pm. Maybe I'm testing too close together. Thank you so much for all the tips!

@rslh10 Thanks for checking in.  I was on vacation last week -- it was great to get away for a little while.  On the TTC front we are still benched but I got my first post-loss period right on schedule at the end of last week which was really exciting to see my body getting back to normal.  It was also a little sad to see that I'm really truly totally not pregnant anymore.  I knew it, but seeing AF again was just another reminder.

I have an appointment tomorrow morning with my midwife.  They will take beta one more time to be sure it got all the way to zero and do a pelvic exam.  I also want to talk to her about the time she benched us for.  Another midwife in the practice said one month when I had my emergency appointment and then my midwife said two at the follow up.  I don't mind waiting two if there is a real medical reason why it is better for me, but I want to understand why it changed and why she thinks two is better.
    *snip*

I'm happy to hear AF is back in business. I know the it's a hard thing to have happen. You want it so bad so you can keep on going with the journey, but at the same time it's a punch in the gut. ((hugs)) FX for appt tomorrow.
Appointment went really well!  As long as this beta comes back at 0 (which it should) we are in business to burn the bench and start trying this month!  My midwife basically tells everyone two months in case they have complications so that they aren't disappointed by not starting earlier.  Everything looks normal with my cervix and my ute and my cycle came on time so we are cleared to start FWP this cycle.  I will be taking it slow and not charting or using OPKs for a couple months while we ease back into things, but I'm excited!

  • I'm a newbie :) I have introed on the main board a couple of weeks ago but to jog everyone's memory I experienced a clinical pregnancy on October 14th.  This was my DH and I first pregnancy.  As of now I'm starting to feel better emotionally the first few weeks I was a complete mess.  Currently I'm waiting on my first "normal" AF and it's a drag.

On to the QOTW. I live in Georgia so there isn't much snow here EVER but it was 35 degrees when I got in my car this morning that is very cold for a southern girl. brrrr

I feel the same way and i almost feel bad for feeling frustrated after only three cycles, as i am now so much more aware of how long people actually try for. but that doesnt make it any less sad/frustrating each time AF comes. its a very disheartening process. add to that the pressure that is put on us and the hubbies for something that SHOULD be so fun and its just so UGH!!that is why i will continue to ntnp for the near future..cause in my head...long as im not "TRYING"...when i fail..it should hurt less right? we'll see how that works out for me in a few days when AF is due! anyways..all that to say..im right there with you man!!!

@mrsjac1210 so sorry for your loss..and to me it doesnt sound bad. once they told me the baby had passed four weeks prior and i realized what that meant...i all but screamed get it out of me!the doctor looked so caught off gaurd by that but to me i needed to have that closure in order to even BEGIN to move on! everyone handles it differently and i dont think theres a wrong or right way to respond to such trauma. So sorr you're going thru this!

@agpjt413 sorry for your loss and same to you @MGiven. good luck to you this cycle

@flutterfly88 so sorry for your loss!!

@calvaughn5002 so sorry for your loss. You are in that extra conflicting stage when you're waiting for AF to show but once it shows it can be a reminder of that that means. So i hope you find the support and comfort you need here during this time.

  • Hi everyone!  @rslh10 - thanks for the tag and to answer your question, I WISH that was me in my profile pic :) It is not, but I do silks (which is what she is doing) and other aerial arts, mostly flying trapeze.  (not sure if I ever mentioned that here before!)

I am WAY late to this check in, so forgive me everyone for not tagging and commenting, but I did read all the posts and have lots to say, but no time today.

Things are good for me, I finally feel good (despite this cold), I think i O'd last weekend, which means AF coming soonish! I am basically exactly on cycle from the day of my loss, which seems unlikely, so fingers crossed that actually works out.  We can try again in just a few short weeks :-)

Hope everyone has a great week!
  • im so late but omg ive been so busy at work...even now..im sneaking a break and wil try to reply to as many individuals as possible

I live in Georgia so there isn't much snow here EVER but it was 35 degrees when I got in my car this morning that is very cold for a southern girl. brrrr
Hi! Welcome to the check in. I'm sorry for your loss. Fx you keep feeling better, and you get a normal AF soon :)

Hi everyone, another newbie here, joining in.

Thanks for your words of encouragement. To answer your question, I didn't have a D&C, my son was born @23 weeks, and passed the same day.

And I forgot to answer the QOTW: I love snow. Being on the southwest coast of BC, we get very little, and it never stays around long though.
I am so so sorry. ((hugs)) and more hugs!!!

@rslh10 Thanks for the tag.

((hugs))

I definitely want to be ready emotionally when it's time to TTC again. I have to admit that there are days when I wonder if I'm ready to start this process over again. Some days it just sounds exhausting. So I am grateful that my dr suggested waiting because otherwise I would have probably jumped back in too quickly. The real problem is exactly what you told @flutterfly88‌ we all want to be pregnant yesterday! Lol.

And @flutterfly88‌ I feel your pain on being benched but hopefully this time waiting will just allow us to be ready for a rainbow.

  • Hi Ladies,

Hope you are all in good spirits. ((Hugs)) to those who need them.

I'm still here, just been a little crazy lately. The anniversary of our loss was last Friday, so I had a rough weekend. Got some welcomed distraction this week, so I'm just moving along right now. On CD7, so just waiting for O.

  • Hi Ladies, another newbie here.  I'm still waiting for test results to come back before TTC but I'm preparing my body so hopefully I can start in February. One test will take about a month so in the meantime I'm trying to get healthier - I'm on a low sodium diet because I'm still on BP meds from my pre-e. My high risk doc wants me to tell my cardiologist that I'm ready to TTC now and switch meds  in case if I need time for my body to get rid of my current BP meds (which is not good if I'm PG), we'll be all ready to go when we actually are. If anyone has any healthy recipes, I'm all ears!

QOTW: I would absolutely love snow if i didn't have to shovel, clean my car and go to work.

The test results for the various blood clotting disorders should take 1-2 weeks. The test that may take about a month is the placental pathology. My doctor wants an expert to look at my placenta to see if she can have any abnormalities. He says the hospital that I delivered at is good but this doctor at another hospital is the best.

  • I'm new, and super late to this check in I believe. I had an u/s at eight weeks and they found no baby, just a gestational and yolk sacs and a tiny fetal pole. They had me schedule a u/s appointment two weeks later. Sadly, I never made it that far and began to MC on 11/21. I think I am through the worst of it although I'm still having mild cramps. I was told today that I'm benched for two cycles, but at least I get to count this as a cycle. So at least a little good news. I'm sad, but not overwhelmed with it since I've known for two weeks this might be coming. Everything seems a bit grey though. Hoping my MC only lasts a week or so. I know we have so much to be thankful for, but it will be a bit hard to get into Thanksgiving this year. QOTW: I love to have the ground covered at least and one really big snow storm a year.
