I may scream. My sister in laws friends are such freaking idiots. This is the wedding planned for two days after christmas for the couple that are ALREADY married two years ago with an actual ceremony and reception 2 years ago. We are having a bridal shower this weekend for her. Don't get me started on that. Now they want to know if we should throw her a bachelorette party for the weekend before christmas. THEY ARE MARRIED? How do you have a bachelorette party for someone who is ALREADY MARRIED? and has been for two years...the weekend before christmas???
Obviously I'm not going and blamed the pregnancy, but really...I just want to say ARE YOU ALL IDIOTS?
I've also found someone to come to out house tomorrow to give K a massage. She is so uncomfortable, and while she looks like a cute little penguin waddling about, I don't want her to be miserable for the next six weeks. Hopefully this woman will be good. Expensive, but we can afford it once.
I'm tempted to get a massage too. I have a one that's already paid for, I just need to use it. Hopefully K will find it very enjoyable and relaxing!
I think my feet grew. Wtf. This didn't happen last time! My shoes all feel tight. Do they shrink back? (Please say yes)
Mine didn't either. They grew a full size
I feel like absolute garbage today. My head hurts, my BP is up a little, I feel pukey, and my husband is pissing me off. I could seriously sit here and cry right now but I don't even really know what I'd be crying about.
Stuck in the cold, too, but it's warm compared to all the other weather updates. Made it to 33 degrees where I'm at. Luckily, Trader Joe's has dark chocolate-covered peppermint oreos, which make everything better.
My mom is coming in December! And the whole family is coming for Christmas! And Mom is coming back in January for the baby! I'm so happy about this, in case you couldn't tell.
I got it last week at my appointment and totally forgot after my flu shot to not get shots are the arm that I lay on at night! So, I had to deal with sleeping on a sore arm again. Although I think my arm hurt more from the flu shot than the TDAP.
I got both the TDAP and Flu shot yesterday and neither arm was pleasant to sleep on
I go for BOTH next Wednesday morning and am not looking forward to it.. I guess I'll be exempt from helping with Thanksgiving cooking with 2 sore arms?? & maybe H will feed me.. I may take advantage of this situation /:)
I. Am. Exhausted. Today. And, I'm pretty sure that I've officially started the pregnancy waddle, thanks to sciatic pain on my left side. Plus, I feel like I can't inhale completely because DD is taking up all of my space.
I started packing my hospital bag this morning, and realized that I need more stuff than what I thought. I mean, snacks and a coming home outfit for the baby are good starts, but I guess I need to shop for a few more things.....

Really curious - how common is this in pregnancy? Around how many weeks does it happen, if it happens at all? Can I make a poll about it? :bz
ETA: I'm gonna make a poll about it
I had bad swelling towards the end with DS1. I bought adjustable slippers (open toe) for the hospital and I couldn't even get them to come close to going over my feet. I ended up wearing sandals like these and leaving the straps loose (really loose).
Knock on wood - been ok so far with this one. My feet also went back to normal.
This little boy gets the hiccups at least twice a day, every day. Sometimes more than that. Anybody else? I think it bothers me way more than kicking for some reason, it's just so constant and low down there.
I find the hiccuping irritating! She does it 1-2 times every day. I didn't put two and two together and figure out what I was feeling was hiccups until a couple days ago lol, but now I wish she'd stop. I like feeling her movements, but her hiccups bother me.
@grumpycat88 we call it tomatillo, which isn't close to the names we've chosen. Usually I would be annoyed but let it go, but these hormones have me like whoa and I'm super insulted on behalf of my fetus.
I just had to meet with a woman for over an hour in my office and she wears sooo much perfume. When she left and I was finally able to open the door, the whole hallway started to smell and my co-worker came in here to check and see if I am ok. Like for real lady, there is NO NEED for that much perfume. You almost suffocated me!
I feel like a hobbit, eating every two hours. My most recent snack: sugar free chocolate chia pudding with a tablespoon of cashew butter swirled in. Delicious, almost like melted peanut butter cup
My feet decided to start swelling Friday night. I've been drinking a ton of water and laying off the salt to get them to go down. Today I'm going to try soaking them in epson salt...I really don't want to get a lecture about my salt intake at the dr tm! Im missing my salty foods already! (

I find it irritating, too! I actually love the movements like you, but I'm at a later due date so maybe I just haven't felt the ones that hurt just yet, but the hiccups won't stop. They're just so low. And weird.
Today is my dirty thirty birthday! I can't believe I'm 30! Where did the time go? DH and I are going to an advanced screening of Mockingjay Part 1 tonight and we are off to Disneyland on Thursday (it's actually a work trip for DH). Yay!

I was dreading my review for 2 weeks. We have them twice a year and I'm never looking forward to it. I met my boss at Starbucks today @ 7:30 am. I was fearing an awkward situation but my review turned out really good and I received a $2,000 bonus! Yay!!!! That was really cool seeing as that our bonuses last year were $250.
Also, my hubby, DS and I leave tomorrow morning for Playa del Carmen, for my best friend's wedding! I'm so excited for vacation!!

I am loving having second breakfast most days, especially days I am babysitting at 7 am! Toast first, then a nap, then some oatmeal! Football Sunday was amazing, I had oatmeal and then later brunch with gluten free French toast, BACON, and fruit! As long as my feet don't get hairy, I won't mind acting like a hobbit!
It has been pretty chilly around here, freezing at night and high 30's (F) during the day. It's supposed to warm up and rain in a couple days (good ol' WA).
I had an awful dream about giving birth... where the doctors and hospital staff didn't respect any of my wishes and I was like hunting them down to just tear into them for the lack of skin to skin time and oh gosh... I need to just go and read some positive birth stories and let go of this negativity! (I am a hypnobabies momma)
This LO gets the hiccups every few days, I think it's cute (so far). She's been loving moving her feet up under my ribs, sometimes hitting them. I have a feeling I'll be getting some sore ribs here pretty soon.
My random: I think next week (or Wednesday morning because of the holiday) will be my last babysitting my DH's cousin's baby (he's 5 mo) W-F 7a-4p. After I fell down the stairs they put a pack n play downstairs for me, but it's so low to the ground it's becoming awkward to bend over to get him in and out. Plus he loves to play on the ground, so I'm stooping over when seated, and his changing station is also very low (a board on top of a bathtub). They finally have a daycare lined up that can take over any time so I'm seriously considering saying "that's it" next week. If I don't, I'd work until winter break which starts Dec 19th (the dad is a teacher). I just don't know if I can bend over for that long (I have bendable days and non bendable days, and the non bendable days are becoming more frequent) and I would love to have a consistent sleep schedule again, especially since I have GD and need to eat regular meals. I just love that baby so much, it makes me sad to think I'd only have 3 1/2 days left with him and his sweet cuddliness.
@megan81112-- About a month ago now NASA launched an unmanned rocket that was supposed to bring supplies to the ISS and it exploded shortly after takeoff. For the first few days everyone in my area who is my FB friend was posting a picture of the explosion and it was captioned "First common core launch."
My best friend just texted me that a girl just came in and delivered a 19 week old baby. How heartbreaking! Baby was born alive, but died shortly after.
She tested positive for drugs apparently too.
(Friend is an OB nurse)
Anyway, I had to Google to see if a baby born that premature, alive. ... Would suffer. I ended up reading some really touching stories and seeing pictures of some sweet babies. I never even found my answer, and I think I'm OK with that.... Not knowing.
Dragon Age III came out today. My copy is being shipped and will get here tomorrow evening. I totally arranged with my mom to watch the boys on Thursday so I can play all day...
DH is going out with his friends tonight That means I have the house to myself. I might be too excited about this!
I normally really like evenings with some alone time but tonight DH is at a networking event and I wish he was home with me. I hope you enjoy your night though, and I agree with PP that you should watch all the things he hates!

I'm jealous! Big plans? I would: lay on couch and watch everything DH hates.
I have some DVR homework to catch up on so I'll probably do that. More importantly I'm trying to decide what I'm going to eat for dinner - I'm thinking ice cream.

Before I read anything beyond page 1, I would just like to say something from the bottom of my heart...
COMMON CORE SUCKS BOOTYHOLE.
I seriously feel like the biggest idiot on the planet as I try to help my second grader with her math homework .
Now I will go and read the rest of the thread.
@megan81112 Your common core comment made me laugh! If you ever have questions about it let me know! There's also great websites that we direct parents to to help them understand the math. Learnzillion.com is a great one and has videos for you to watch.

Back in L&D for contractions. My OB monitored me in the office for awhile and I didn't even realize I was having them... awkward. I'm sure noticing now though. No cervical changes though ... nurse just came in, putting me on procretia and giving me the steriods for his lungs I could possibly be here until 34 weeks. @MusicFanatic what's up hospital buddy? And others who are in the hospital!
I was hoping you wouldn't have more issues Have the contractions let up? Your fFn was negative, which is great news! Hopefully it means LO keeps in there. It's good that you haven't had cervical changes. Thinking of you *hugs*

Would it be awful if I asked her teacher if I could sit in during math class? Or I'm going to request a longer conference on report card day so she can show me the basics.
I'm going to check that website and a friend keeps sending me YouTube videos. I seriously never felt so inadequate. Math has never been my strong subject, but this stuff is insane.
@grumpycat88 tell your uterus to get the sand out of its vag and stop being irritable! Hope they get everything under control, and that you can figure out the volume thing

Hopefully K will find it very enjoyable and relaxing!
