Dental Work - Anyone had it while pregnant? :(

I have diagnosed anxiety resulting from the infertility and now here we are at 4 months and both my dentist and OB are recommending I get a filling I lost replaced to prevent inflammation later on in third tri, which the OB says could cause problems.  My dentist says there is a possibility the filling could turn into a root canal-he's not sure until he takes x-rays.  I've read about it and read about it and I know the general idea is that it's safest in the second tri.  That said, the idea of getting dental work done is causing me to feel like I'm on the verge of a full-blown panic attack.  I'm concerned about 1) laying down for too long on my back, 2) the injection for pain relief and 3) the overall anxiety I have about getting this done especially leading up to the day itself.

I suppose I'm looking for reassurance from anyone who has had to get work done while pregnant.  I hate this.

I had a filling while I was pregnant with my last child. My dentist recommended doing it between 14-36wks. I think I was about 30wks and I had no problems. GL!

I just had a filling done I was panicked as well but for other reasons I hate people in my mouth. My OB said it was fine before 3rd tri and that they just couldn't use epinephrine. It was much easier than I thought it they did it in 20 mins.

I had a cleaning and a filling done with my first pregnancy.

They just use novocaine without epi.

I had a root canal done in second trimester and they also took X-rays. They double shielded my belly though. Untreated dental work can lead to more problems during pregnancy was what I read and that was the main reason why I went ahead with having it done. Everything went well and baby is H&H 9month old now. It will be ok....I was nervous too.
