Gestational Diabetes and delivery date

I am a FTM with gestational diabetes. 5'4 132 pounds and 33 weeks - due date is 1-6. They said that they will be doing growth tests starting at 36 weeks to monitor his size, and determine if I will need a c section. I wanted to see if any other moms out there had gestational diabetes, and what week of pregnancy they had their baby ( VBAC or C section?) Just curious and getting excited thanks in advance for any stories!

I'm also due 1/6 and have GD. My doc is inducing me at 38 weeks. We go in to the hospital the evening of 12/22 and she should hopefully arrive by 12/23. 

I'm already going for twice weekly NST/BPPs to monitor baby's activity and size. So far, she's measuring completely normal and my fluid levels are great.

i had GD. I was induced a couple days before my due date and had a quick & easy vaginal birth. Their policy was not to let the GD moms go past their official due dates, but also not to induce before 39 weeks. So basically I got to pick a day between 39 and 40 weeks to go in and be induced. 38 weeks is too early.

I had GD with my first and was originally due 9/12.  My doctor scheduled an induction for 9/9 but when I went on 9/3 for my weekly check up, I had low amniotic fluid.  I was sent to the hospital that afternoon, induced the next morning and had an easy, complication free, vaginal delivery on 9/4.

I.had gd.with my first and.because she was measuring bigger I had a scheduled c section at 39 weeks. I also have gd this pregnancy and opted to ha e another c section which will also be at 39 weeks. I go in tmrw for my 36 week appt and nst. Also have an ultrasound at 37 weeks.

I had GD with my first. GP advised IT was unlikely she would let me go past 41 weeks. I went into labour on my own at 40w3d and after a shortish labour (less than 9 hours start to finish) I delivered a healthy 8lb8oz baby boy naturally. No interventions needed.

My OB won't let you go past 40 weeks.  I'm having a RCS on Saturday at 39w1d (ticker is wrong).

I have been so nervous about the GD and size. My OB has had me getting growth scans every 4 weeks since my 20 week appt. I am currently 29&2. Last week when I was 28&1 the baby was measuring 29&4. At what appointment did you ladies talk to your doctor about possible induction and or c-section? Thanks!!

I had GD with first one... Gave birth at 34weeks 5days by emergency c section due to breached baby and dialated 4-5 cm by the time I got to the hospital. Too late to stop it. Went very well baby boy is now 4 almost 5 years old.

Currently preggo with #2 with gestational diabetes @ 34weeks 2days. Last growth test baby is measuring right on the dot. On meds for cervix due to shortening.

I had GD with my first and had an unplanned c-section at 37 weeks 6 days because I went into labor and didn't dilate  past a 3.  Our son was 7 lbs 14 oz.

I am 34 weeks with 2nd and my due date is 1/6 also. My OB has scheduled me for a c section on 12/30.  However, I was just put on modified bed rest because I'm having contractions and I'm dilated to 2.  My OB doesn't think I will make it to the 30th but wants this baby to cook for as long as possible so bed rest for me!

Thanks for your opinion. I'm trusting my doc tho and her decision to induce at 38.

I had GD with my first, there was no talk of c section or induction. I was easily able to manage my GD, and had no growth scans.

He did come naturally at 38 weeks.
