@chrisy_01 I'm seriously curious what kind if bank this is. At mine we don't need permission to access anything except board members and employees info and even then we can see everything except balances. As soon as we pull up a customers name were looking at name, address, email, phone number, social security number, any accounts, CDs and loans you have and all the balances and who last tried to sell you a product at the bank.
I would switch banks. If this employee is well liked by other employees you may not get great service at another branch. I know at our bank if a customer is rude, hateful, unreasonable, or otherwise difficult as soon as he/she walks out the door an email goes out to the closest branches informing them of what happened. If this guy is liked he can easily send a message to the other tellers "be rude to mr. Chrisy, he's mean to his kid!" And your problem follows you.. I'm not saying its true! But if this guy imagined it or is just making stuff up out of spite switching branches may not help.
Please don't take this as tellers are conspiring to be mean to customers. We have a few that lie and try to cheat the system and that's usually what it's about. But sometimes it is just verbal abuse and unless we want to call the police and file a formal report we can't react without losing our jobs.
@PeachesMomma hope your feeling better today, add me to the list of the red underwear crew and a happy healthy baby, hope it helps ease your mind.
@chrisy_01 I can't believe that story! I would have liked to think that since the location of the incident was a bank, with full recording devices, that the police would absolutely be watching the videos to see what truly occurred. I'm glad children's services was able to see so quickly that everything was fine, what a headache!
Keep us posted, I hope that teller gets what he deserves!
PeachsMama from my understanding bank personal are only to access your account when they need to for working on your account. Touching an account without proper reason is against the law since it is tied to a bunch of things: credit card, social, mortgage, home address, etc. Since he wasn't accessing my account for any bank reason, he should have checked with the manager. This is why the computer system tracks who accesses the account and time stamps it. I checked with a few people I know in the industry and they agreed to have me pursue this.
It's a commercial, publicly traded bank and yes, since Mr. Chrisy wasn't seeing the teller that filed the complaint on that day he had no reason access the account to gain his name and address for this nefarious purpose. Illegal, and against company policy.
@Mommyxtwo1113@88sharonlee@LizB8943 not great.. The bleeding has picked up and it's a brighter red.. I called this pruning when nothing had changed and they weren't worried. I don't know if I should call now that it's heavier and redder or not.
@PeachesMomma id call to ease your mind, I'll be thinking of you.
Possible trigger warning; just to be safe:
My bleeding was bright red and heavy, I actually thought I had my period since it was before I found out I was pregnant, they sent me to the ER and diagnosed me with threatened miscarriage, but everything turned out fine. I hope the same for you, just know that it's not uncommon and doesn't mean anything definitive, but I'd call, they might not be able to do anything but that's what they are there for.
@PeachsMama, just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you. It's good news that they saw the heartbeat yesterday, so try to stay positive. If you're concerned, though, definitely call. There's nothing wrong with that.
@chrisy_01 What a ridiculous situation. And even if a teller doesn't need "permission" - that is, even if there's no password override or authentication the teller has to enter to get to your account - accessing it for no reason (or a reason not related to banking purposes) is totally improper.
I used to work at a large credit card company and I could access any account I wanted all day long. That doesn't mean I was allowed to access them just because; I had to have a legitimate banking reason to do so - either the customer was on the phone with me or I was following up on something for the customer. I couldn't just go look at their account because I wanted to, and it should go without saying that I couldn't use information on a customer's account to call in a false CPS report as part of a personal vendetta.
I am so sorry this happened to you and I would definitely follow up with the manager on the status of the investigation and if it doesn't go anywhere, I'd go up the chain. I would also switch banks in a second. They don't deserve your business, period.
Definitely move your money. They don't deserve your business and I would contact someone high up and tell them why you're leaving and trust me, shit rolls down hill. 100 in a child's savings or 100,000 in a investors checking; if a teller is the reason an account is closed their job will be on the line.
