Holy shit my water just broke!!! Update page 2****

I'm sitting here bumping and I thought I peed a little in bed. Started to head to bathroom and splash!!! So I'm laughing to myself because I thought I peed all over. Nope. I look on the floor and it's bloody! This stubborn baby is on her way. Btw I made my husband do reflexology on my feet last night!!!!!

Omg the roads are bad where we live 1st snow!!! It took 45 minutes to get someone over to watch kids and it takes 30 minutes to hospital when roads are clear. It's snowing good. Baby Avery is kicking in there as I type. I can't look at road or I'm gonna have a panic attack!

Omg they are telling me my water didn't break. I got sent home. They can't induce me because they are full. Tons of mucus fluid and blood coming out.

That seems odd especially because you described it a a splash. Can you insist on them testing you?

What the heck?! Did they do the test to make sure? With you having to tackle that drive again when it's potentially worse why would they send you home like that? It's not your fault they're full & I'm sure they would have found a way to accommodate you if you were much further along .. Not sure how the symptoms you're having are any different. How frustrating!

I did and I told them I wasn't going home. They did ultrasound and a fern test. I guess some people can have fluid build up. I'll be back later on tonight cuz I'm sure I'm in labor. I'm having contractions. Getting worse. One right now. They can't break my water cuz they can only induce so many a day and they are full till Saturday. So I have to stay at home in pain in front of my children until I can't move anymore. I'm gonna have this baby in the flippin car I bet!!! Crying isn't even the word for it. I am hysterical. They said that wasy bloody show. Show does not describe what I am seeing. I took a picture. This stuff has been coming out since 4 am!!!! I won't show you though.

wow I wanna cry FOR you. I'm sorry! Can you go to another hospital? I know here if need be I could have checked in to any ER if i was in labor and feared not making it to my normal hospital.. Maybe that's an option?

Ohh my goodness! Hang in there. Can you get a hotel room near the hospital to go to an labor in for awhile before you need to go back in? The shower/bath may help with contractions.

The same thing happened to my mom. They swore to her that she wasn't in labor, but she knew her water had broken when she was in bed. Be an advocate for yourself! T&P for you.

So sucky :-( I hope something changes quickly (but safely) so they have to admit you or maybe you could find another hospital like someone suggested.

I know the doctor felt bad. She started crying too because I was crying. They said they could only induce 4 people a day. It's a small hospital. We even checked on ultrasound. I'm still crying. I have never heard of anything like this. I'm exhausted but I know if I keep moving that this baby is coming very soon!!!!

On body ball sitting on heating pad rocking. Totally recommend that! Trying to time contractions. Anywhere from 3-10 minutes apart almost lasting 1 minute. A lot of 4 letter words!!!! The hardest thing is school got cancelled. I'm laboribg at home with kids here. I don't want them to see me in pain. I'm not screaming or anything. Still snowing here! Just bloody mucus coming out now. Feels like I gotta go poop. It's all worth it right ladies!!!

Your story sounds familiar....

I woke up at 2:30 am in my first pregnancy with gushes of "water" (kind of a pink-ish coral colour).  I called the hospital for some advice.  They just said to call my midwife...   She wanted to meet me to check it out.  So at 4 am she had a look...  and it wasn't amniotic fluid.  So we left.

Fortunately it was August and the weather was great, so we went for breakfast and then slept a bit.  I had some considerable contractions and the same blood as you...   

Then at 10:30 I had an acupuncture appointment that put me into full blown labour at my request (with my midwife's blessing.)  I laboured at home till almost midnight.  (Midwife showed up around 9?)  Then we went to the hospital.

I wish I could send you my TCM doctor to get this really moving.        

But if it really slows down, I would just try to get as much rest as possible.  That is my plan this time around.

You've had quite a day already! I hope you get some resolution soon. But don't feel bad about 'crying wolf' - I'm sure most, if not all of us, would have gone in to L&D or midwife in those circumstances!

Wow, what a morning! I'm so sorry you had to go through that (but I'm sure any of us would have done the same, so its not crying wolf)  but am glad you're home and getting some relief from the ball and heat pad.

 With contractions at that rate,and the pressure, and having already had kids-you need to be admitted at this point!

 If I was you, I would head on back to the hospital-even if the baby comes in the ER it's better than an unplanned home or car birth. I am shocked they sent you home! 

 Best wishes and it's surely all worth it

Hang in there! I got sent home twice in my 48 hour labor. Was very discouraged, but in the end it all worked out. Keep focused on your breathing and keep moving. If needed, take a hot shower or bath to help with the pain.
