These are the names DH and I have up for consideration. Madeline would have the -lyn ending, Emmeline would be the -line ending.
There are things I adore about each name but all of them present a bit of concern (popularity, spelling/ pronunciation issues, disliking the nicknames) but nothing that' s a total dealbreaker. Siblings are Natalie and Harrison. What do you think sounds the nicest?

My name is Alexandra, and I love it BUT: my parents pronounced it Ah-lex-ahn-drah with long As, unlike most people. If you want that pronunciation, be aware you won't get it. If that (and the fact that she will inevitably be "Alex") doesn't bug you, go for it! I love my name!
Emmeline was on our list too, but I took it off eventually, can't recall why.
(I mean, partly because we're having a boy.)

They are each nice, but I prefer Elizabeth. I feel like you will get Emma-leen (which I always thought was the proper pronunciation) a lot with Emmaline, so if that's not what you are going for you may throw that out.
