birthday question

My DS birthday party is the 1st weekend in December. As a parent would you rather get the invitation the end of this week or after thanksgiving. I don't want them to lost in the pre-thanksgiving shuffle, but I don't want to give people only a weeks notice. I run into this issue every year and never know what to do

I'd probably send them out earlier. I think people tend to make plans way in advance around the holidays. Maybe just do a quick call to check in for RSVPs at the end of the month?

In my book, the earlier, the better -- our weekends fill up amazingly fast, especially in Nov/Dec

Definitely earlier. December weekends fill up fast (I've already got plans for the first two weekends and am having to turn down invitations to other stuff!), so the earlier you get the invites out, the more likely people will be able to make it.

I agree-- the earlier the better! There is a lot going on this time a year and I like to be able to plan ahead.
