Cold weather activities

I like to try to get DS out of the house at least once a day and usually it's to go for a walk. Today is currently 18 and is really just the start of the cold weather. I know I can get him bundled up but I feel like going for a walk his face might get too cold. We do a library babies program on Thursdays but in 2 weeks time that wraps up until January, I also take him swimming once a week. So what does everyone else plan on doing during the cold weather? I think we'll both go crazy hanging around the house all day for the next 6 months.

Right now the toddler has classes every morning so we all go. We do soccer, art, music, storytime at the library, playgroup at the community center. Most also end until January. I've been asking people at the playground what they did last winter with their toddlers and most of them said they bundled up and still went to the playground. Not sure I want to do that with the baby though once it's below freezing. We have a membership to the children museum so we'll do that a lot and maybe add the museum of science or aquarium. I've also heard some of the churches Around here have playgroups. I'm looking into joining a gym that has childcare and they also do mommy and me classes. DH likes taking the kids to Costco (because the toddler loves running there and everything is too big/heavy for her to pull off the shelves!)

If we had an aquarium I'd definitely get a membership there. We took DS to one a few weeks ago when we were on vacation and he was fascinated

Do you have any indoor playgrounds near you. Took DD1 to one and they had a small baby area. DD2 loved it! This particular one we went to is super nice because the front of it is an adult coffee shop and the back is the playground. Keeps the entire family happy!
