Chart Stalk?

Hey ladies! It's CD1 for me again and this cycle has got me a little worried. FF is giving me a 7 day LP, I usually ovulate on CD 20 but this cycle FF gave me crosshairs for CD 24. I'm still sort of thinking that maybe I ovulated on CD 20 but I did get negative OPKs cycle days 15-22 and then I ran out. Chart experts, what say you? TIA!

  • Based on your prior cycle I'd say CD20, but it's a toss up... Do you temp by mouth or vaginally?  Have you thought about adding in OPKs just to get a better sense?

  • Mmm, I kind of lean toward CD24. But really, your temps were hard to read. It could go either way.

  • Agreed with @buggirl72 and @mlal78.  TBH your chart is very hard to read with the other information missing and I am also not 100% convinced that you actually O'd this cycle.  I would definitely consider keeping track of other fertility signs like CM and cervical position if your charts are usually like this.

  • I agree with others, if you are temping orally, I'd switch it up to vaginally. Maybe that will help you see a clear temp shift.

  • Thank you ladies. Yes I did remove some information to see if it would give me CHs, I removed the OPKs and a high temp, just because it was strangely high although there wasn't any reason for it to be high. I do temp vaginally because my temps have always been rocky.

I'm going to put all the information back in and end the cycle because my period is full blown here.

Also I can't understand CM or cervical position. I've tried to check them before but I don't really understand it.

Thank you guys for your input!

Have you checked out the tutorials on FF? CM is the easier of the two to check and I would start with that.

Also, are you waiting until CD15 to start OPKs? I would start at CD10. With that high temp back in you don't have a clear temp shift but your temps seem to be higher in general after CD16 - it's possible you may have missed your positive OPK if you are starting to temp too late in your cycle.

  • @heartbot Thank you for replying and yes my CM does seem the same to me every day. My cycles are very regular, since we started TTC they've never been shorter than 30 days and never longer than 35 days. I usually take the OPKs at four o'clock in the evening, right after I get off work. I don't pee after noon so it's always after four hours hold.

@buggirl72 Thank you again for your help. I did watch the FF tutorials once but it was awhile ago and I wasn't so concerned with TTC then. I'm going to watch them again! The earliest date I've ever ovulated was CD 18 which is why I start taking the OPKs so late in my cycle. I also knew that my stash was running low and I was hoping I wouldn't need to replenish it.  I'm sending out an order for a new big stash so I can start taking the OPKs earlier if you think it'll help!

I want to thank all of you again! It's super helpful to have fresh opinions on all this.
