Sometimes I still use the mascara in the pink and green tube that everyone was hating on in the mascara thread :) I didn't realize everyone stopped using it in middle school.

I do too every once in a while. Honestly, it makes my lashes look great.

    @SunshyneShay @GFJ48
Are you both in MI? The i94 & KZoo make me ask. I'm on the other end of 94, though, by DTW.

  • I like when it snows. I'm not mad that we have 6 inches of snow on the ground right now.
I agree, I love snow! But the people backed up on i94 east from BC to Kzoo at 11 last night probably didn't appreciate it :P
Oh yeah I bet not! I heard there was a nasty accident (11 cars) on 94 last night
My area got 7+ inches and it's snowing as I type this. I opted out of work today (heard 196 was full of black ice) and I have zero intentions of getting dressed or leaving the couch today :)
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo it's been in the 60's and sunny here (until yesterday) but I'm flying into Grand Rapids tomorrow for a 4 day weekend....I really didn't want to have to pack snow gear for the kids booooooooooooooooooooooooo.....and the reason we'll be in MI is because my husband is seriously looking into a transfer to MI (I grew up in GR) but he claims everytime he visits there is ridiculous snow and I was really hoping for a snow free visit so he wouldn't think about the fact that moving to MI means SNOW! (Which I typically love...just not this time due to having to pack and fly with 2 toddlers' snow gear)

I haven't washed my hair since Sunday. Dry shampoo is my best friend.

    I haven't since Monday

I washed my hair this morning, the last time I washed it was last Tuesday. Dry shampoo for the win!!!!

Seriously, I'm not sure what's up with my hair but it's loving pregnancy. I'm not even having to pull it up on a pony tail until after a week of no washing. I'm going next week for a root touch up and it's been 6 weeks, I've only washed my hair myself 3 times since my last coloring.
    Fucking bump!!!!
  • I went 6 days without washing my hair...and only washed it last night because I'm having my highlights done right now and was embarrassed for them to see my hair looking the way it looked!! I'm definitely not like @Pintobean39‌ This preg is making my hair look awful! I'm just way too lazy/unmotivated to care

I freaking love my Uggs and I don't care who knows it. They are so warm and comfortable, and warm feet are crucial where I live. Yes, they're ugly but I don't care.

I chose warmth over fashion today and my toes love me for it. When you walk everywhere sometimes it helps to be practical.

  • I didn't have to make or stop and get coffee yesterday morning so I heated up the two day old coffee sitting on my desk. It tasted burnt and stale but I drank every last drop.

I also have not washed my hair since Saturday and it looks wonderful. Just dry shampoo and spray in conditioner. It's too cold do deal with wet hair.

  • I have seriously considered lying to my OB about my dizzy spells and headaches so he will let me fly at 19 weeks to visit friends. I probably won't have the balls to follow through with it, but I am really upset about not being able to go visit them in TX.

Better to lie to your doc about going (like don't listen and go anyway) than to lie about your symptoms.

Sephora has some great dry shampoos. I have thin hair and won't even go to the beach or the gym unless I have showered so dry shampoo saves me. I used to spend about $20 or so at Sephora, but Tresseme came out with a great one and it's about $4 and at Target. Very good.
YES! It's in the black bottle with lime green top, right? I like that one, as well! And way cheaper.

@GFJ48 and @texasmama15 what kind of dry shampoo do you use?? I need to get some ASAP.
How bad is it if I admit I don't even use dry shampoo? X_X
Just think about how much LONGER you could go on top of what you do now if you used it... :-B

I know I should start using it again & wearing my hair down more. I cut my hair in April after my wedding then discovered I had developed alopecia (bald spots) due to the stress of my wedding but at first my googling led me to articles saying hair loss could be from dry shampoo so I threw all my stuff out. Once I was diagnosed with a legitimate disorder though I realized the dry shampoo was obviously not the culprit. Now I have like 2-3 inch clumps of hair growing from my 12 bald spots I had so I no longer wear my hair down except maybe once a month if I have something where I need to look nicer for at work.
Oh my goodness, how terrible!!! I'm glad everything is growing back. Dry shampoo also helps my hair look fuller as well. It's a life saver, I tell ya!

  • I've had two cups of coffee today.

I know, I know, "illegal" caffeine and all, but I have been a zombie all week. It's going to be a busy day at work and I need to be able to concentrate.

  • I feel bad now. I go 2 weeks without shampooing my hair, and I never heard of dry shampoo until now. I need to stop being so lazy.
  • I can only use dry shampoo for one day then I must wash my hair. My trick for darker hair is to spray it in at night and don't brush it. Once you wake up from sleeping it will have absorbed.

  • I am an every day hair washer and can't fathom how you do it. Do you still take a shower, just not wash your hair? After a day and a half, my head feels disgusting and oily.

Yes, I shower every day but throw my hair up in a bun and wear a headband and a shower cap (very granny chic) so that I don't get my hair wet. I'll put my hair down and spray the dry shampoo in my part and on the roots around my face. Let it soak then the key is to rub it in with the palm of your hand/fingers THEN brush it out. Works like a charm and it refreshes my hair to smell clean and gives it volume.

I take a shower daily and just don't feel like washing my hair. I have dry hair and scalp so washing it everyday wouldn't be good for me. You're a good one though. It would be agonizing for me to wash, blow dry, and flat iron my hair everyday.

100% this. I learned this trick, I just spray my head down before I hop in bed. I go days without even brushing it.

I get confused at who's asking what, but I have a can of CVS brand dry shampoo that I picked up on vacation once because I put to much coconut oil in my hair and was to lazy to wash it.

@FreddyisReady‌ I rarely shower I'm a bath kinda girl. If I have to shower I just put a shower cap on my head so my hair doesn't get wet. Not everyone can go without washing their hair. It depends on the hair type. I have really dry long thick curly hair, that rarely ever gets oily. Washing my hair is an act of congress and dries my hair out even more so my hair actually looks better the less I wash it.
    Fucking bump!!!!

I'm jealous of all of you who can go that long without washing your hair. I can get 2 days out of mine, and even that's pushing it. It turns into a gross, greasy mess. I'll have to keep my eye out for some dry shampoo
Mine too. I have very fine hair, and not much of it. If I skip 1 day, it looks like I've been caught in a rainstorm. I will still skip a day anyways, but I probably shouldn't. I wish I could be lazy!!

  • @FreddyisReady‌ I generally go 4-5 days between washes. Longer if it still looks ok. I have super long, thick straight hair. It's also course texture wise. I shower ever 1-2 days but just throw my hair up in a bun. My MIL thinks is unhygienic and I just laugh bc her hair just looks so frazzled and unhealthy all the time. She would shower 2-3 times a day if she had the the time. It also takes 30+ mins to blow dry my hair and that sucks.

  • So after being pissed that DH got the flu, I've been so rude to him. He said "you do realize I feel like crap." I said "You do realize I am trying to keep your children and unborn child flu free don't you?" I am so freaking tired from working all day, doing all the duties at home, getting us with DD's night terrors and DS's coughing. Going to my mom's for the weekend where I plan on sleeping.

DH is going into work tomorrow so I told him I expect the house clean and disinfected. If he can work, my house can be germ free. I am such a brat but I don't care.

  • I can go about 4-5 days without washing my hair. First Two days usually is curly (natural) Then I'll straighten it on day 3 and pony tail the last day.

  • I have a dry shampoo for brunettes. It sprays brown.
Where do you get this?  Brand?

I can make it 2 days, if I'm lucky, and I haven't found a dry shampoo I like yet. Most times though it's more effort to fix my dirty hair than it is to just wash it and style it again.

  • @T1green‌ they make dry shampoo for brown and red hair that's basically colored powder...I know I've seen it at Sephora/Ulta I'm not sure if some of the cheaper brands have them
