Furbaby Friday (NEW weekly thread)

Hi everyone! After discussions on another thread it was decided to add a new weekly thread dedicated to our furbabies! @DaydreamSam‌ and I are partnering up to do this new thread every week. Hope y'all enjoy it :)

Let's see your adorable pictures! It can be of your own furbaby/furbabies or picture of cute furbabies that you find online (if you don't have any furbabies but still want to participate). Update us each week if something new is happening with them or if you have a funny story, etc.

QOTW: This week will be more of a "get to know you". Tell us a little about your furbaby. Names? Age? Breed? Where did you get your furbaby?

@Triathlete23I would DEFINATELY wait until you have outdoor space for him.  They don't shed much, so rather than deal with hair, it's just drool.  I wiped down my walls and ceilings weekly as he shakes his big slobbery face daily and it gets on everything.   We have cloths stationed around the house in the event of a spontaneous drool attack.  They are also the most stubborn breed I have ever owned.  It's his world, and we're just living in it :)

We do this with our Boxer! In fact, when we came home from work last night and started watching TV, we noticed a big blob of slobber on the screen. Oops, missed a spot! We also keep rags tucked behind couch pillows so that they are easily accessible when needed :)

@mshandlebar We got our Savannahs from 2 different breeders. We did a bunch of research and absolutely had to own one, so we ended up with Shelby. We picked her out and had to wait about 4 weeks until we could pick her up. She stole our hearts! And then a year later we decided she needed a "sibling" so we drove 2 hours to look at a kitten. When we got there the breeder handed the kitten to me and he proceeded to snuggle into my arms and fall asleep. Needless to say I wasn't going to leave without him! :) He is a complete trouble maker and gets into everything, but that's part of why we love him.

@lemonliz‌ is it a stray feral cat? I work with an animal rescue group and we have stray feral cat colonies. I can give you some tips if you want. We build shelters out of storage bins for them. I could send you pics. Pretty cheap to make and it keeps them warm all winter :)

@lemonliz‌ this is the model we use. You get a big storage tub (for the outside layer) and then either a size smaller storage tub or a styrofoam cooler (for the inside layer). Cut a hole in each container and line then up with each other (so the kitties can go in and out). Then fill between the two containers with straw and also fill the inside cooler with straw. Put both lids back on and then secure everything in place with heavy duty waterproof tape. Hope that helps!!

I love this thread so much! We rescued a bonded pair of (assumed) brothers this past June (on the anniversary of losing our first sweet lab mix three years earlier).

The first picture is of Frederick Armand (Freddie, Freddie, sweet boy). He has the softest ears, is so sweet and he'll break your heart with those incredible eyes. When we got them, you could count his ribs he was so skinny. We don't know how long they were on the street.

Next is Heinrich Fritz (Fritz, Bullgoat, Dr. Frussleman). He is an attention whore and is crazy strong. He doesn't love giving kisses but occasionally he'll surprise you, which is the best.

We constantly get complimented on them... how attractive they are, what good boys they are. Ironic since we didn't birth them ourselves :) )

ETA: this is amlrunner. Posting from my phone at 4am.
