Good in general.  I think this is the best I've been throughout the pregnancy.  I'm trying to make the most of it while it lasts.

Rant: In spite of all the questions H and I asked, and all the calls we made, we still have surprises in our medical bills.  I'm just reminding myself that LO is fine and we can afford the surprises.

@NeonNoon‌ ugh...don't get me started on insurance/ medical bills. I am furious with them right now. But I have to keep reminding myself at least I have it. My brother and his family loses his next month thanks to Obamacare.

4. How are you feeling? Eh. I had a good start to the day and then I took a nap around 12:30 until 2:30. Couldn't shake off the exhaustion afterwards and just felt blah. After dinner of a burger and tots my #'s were really low for that type of meal. So I am realizing lately my #'s are too low at times. Guess I'll be calling the dr about it.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Next appt is not until the 26th. But only 9 weeks or less to go.

QOTW: What are your favorite creature comforts when it's cold out? Fuzzy socks, my worn out sweater and cuddling up to read.

I am finally off the zofran!!! I'm still on diclegis and pepcid. I coughed a little this morning and thought that was going to trigger some vomiting, but it didn't. I also feel like my energy is finally starting to come back.
5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
We have our 20-week scan / find out the gender on Wednesday next week. Also, my hospital is getting a new MRI and they need test subjects to get the machine certified. I'm basically getting a free fetal MRI, which is totally safe and usually only done to better characterize abnormalities found on the mid-pregnancy scan.
QOTW:  What are your favorite creature comforts when it's cold out?

I love to bake when it is cold out. I can't explain it. I also love crockput chicken soup or  white chicken chili.

EDC 06/03/2014. 11 weeks 2 days. A lime I think? 

37 at delivery. 

DS almost 6. DD just turned 2.  Lab who is 10.  

I think the m/s is finally starting to get a little bit better.  I still feel pretty crappy toward the end of the day. I'm sick right now too so a little congested, yucky cough I can't seem to get rid of and super super exhausted. 

My next appt. is December 1st.  Really wish it were sooner.  I am still pretty anxious. I didn't get to hear the heartbeat last time.. only got to see it on the screen.  I'm hoping to hear it at that appt.  I just want to see that little bean and make sure that all is well in there.  

I love this time of year. My favorite is really the fall.. like October.  But I love the holidays in general.  I love to bake and I love soups on cold days.  White chili is a favorite.  A local little place we love to go to has a FANTASTIC swiss and asparagus soup.. it is SO good.  They make all their soups from scratch and they're different every day.  I'm ordering from there for dinner tonight and getting enough for lunch tomorrow!! They also make the best white chili EVER.  It's delicious.  I can't wait. lol

Doctors appt next wednesday.   Kind of scared about hearing all high risk issues with my age.  I was 35 with last one and went through the same things.   Gonna try to not let it get to me

I think I'm turning a corner! Still got pretty winded while running last night, but my energy levels seem to be on the up and queesiness down. I was able to pick my a$$ off the couch last night to throw in some laundry without first giving myself a five-minute pep talk. Getting out of bed this morning wasn't as agonizing as it has been the last couple weeks.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

First u/s was last Friday. All seemed to look good, so we told our families over the weekend! Three weeks until next appointment, hopefully will hear heartbeat before we announce to friends at our Christmas party that weekend.

30 week appt on Monday - I plan on asking about this severe pelvic pain I have been having.

Rave: I just got off the phone with both our insurance company and medical supply company - questions about pump coverage and also just what we need to do when baby arrives (do I need to call when I go into labor, etc)  They were EXTREMELY helpful and very polite and patient.  Kind of shocked me since I kind of think dealing with insurance companies in particular can be challenging.  It was a pleasant surprise to say the least.

QOTW:  What are your favorite creature comforts when it's cold out?

Hot cocoa, fuzzy socks, curling up with a cozy blanket, and book, movie or DH!

@Lady2010 I am dealing with that pelvic pain too. Look up SPD. Ugh! I had it extremely bad last pregnancy and it is ramping up this time. It hurts to walk.

Pretty good! Maybe too good? No nausea to speak of. I thought I felt queasy for maybe a couple of minutes yesterday and today, but I think I may be creating it because of my worry over not feeling nauseous. Trying to just be thankful instead.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

I have an appointment with my GP on Monday at which I will hopefully get some answers about when my first ultrasound will be, when I should start seeing an OB, what my options are for prenatal testing/screening, etc.

QOTW: What are your favorite creature comforts when it's cold out?

Tea and cookies are pretty great. Also I've just a few months ago moved into a new home with a propane fireplace. It is basically the best and has been lit every evening for the past few weeks. I expect that to continue until at least May (we have a long and drawn-out winter here, usually).

mandyreads - that is what I am afraid I have.  The instructor at my prenatal strengthening class told me that it sounds like I have pelvic dysplasia and I should definitely ask my Dr. (which I think is the same as SPD)... I looked it up and yep - sounds about right.  Really hoping this is not the case though since I enjoy staying active and I have a feeling if I actually get told this is what it is, my husband will insist I slow down.

It has been hurting for a while now - I dropped down to ~3 miles of activity per day vs 4 - 5 a few weeks ago, and got a support band at the recommendation of the midwife last week but it is still bad - the worst is at night when I roll over from one side to the other!

Will let you know what she says on Monday....hope yours doesn't get too bad!!

@Lady2010 last pregnancy I was in tears right before I had LO bc it hurt so bad to get up and go potty in the middle of the night, 3 times a night.  Let me know what they say because I didn't think there was anything to do for it.

   Not too terrible!  Braxton Hicks have started already, which was quite startling but after researching online, it seems to be normal at this stage.  Don't remember it happening so early with my other 2 though!

   Glucose test scheduled for 11/24. I hope I pass it cause I do not want to repeat with the 3 hour test (have done this with dd and ds!)  I have been busy this week buying baby things!  Feeling more prepared now and less stressed!

       Hot Chocolate. Beanie. Gloves. Scarf.
       I can't stand to be cold so I try not to go outside too much in Winter (I'm in Texas and I a self-professed wuss when it comes to winter, hell I even wear a sweater and complain being cold when it's 70 out!! LOL)

@samuelismomma no. Chest xray was clear. Just a viral cough I guess that can last 3 months. Haha that's what MH said when I cough!

What did they give you to take?

@BeckyP005‌ z pak and albuterol inhaler. Instead of robitussin dm I bought the pills so I wouldn't have to taste cough syrup..lol

Zpack and inhalor did nothing for me. Cough sryup w/codeine did nothing. Your so funny but I will admit I hold my nose when taking the cough medicine haha. I can't remember but I know another poster had this bad cough for many months too.

Well I'm in So Cal, so it doesn't really get cold here, but I do love my flannel pajama pants and hot soup!

Fine. No MS (plays on one's mind especially with my most recent news) my gag reflect comes and goes..  Have had this persistent cough for seven days now that will just NOT go away especially a night.. @BeckyP005 @Samuelismommacommiserating with you on that darn cough...

Edit: RLP!!!  Has appeared.  Although I can't seem to remember it coming so early when I was pg with my son..

We have a vital one that is coming up on Wednesday the 19th....We had an issue last week with my HCG level being "slow to rise"   We heard and saw a HB and baby was on target.  We fought hard for this little bean and I know s/he is a fighter..

Favorite creature comforts... LOL snuggling up to my DH in front our our fireplace with a mug of hot chocolate and fluffy socks watching a movie.

Jan. 9, 2015. 32 weeks! almost 4 pounds and...I don't know...big! I can really see/feel the baby move now. Lumps moving across my stomach.

DD1 (will be 6 in Jan), DS (will be 4 in Dec), DD2 (will be 2 in Dec). No fur babies.

4. How are you feeling?
Weirdly, slightly BETTER than in the past couple of weeks. I still have not enough energy, but I am less sore in my joints and back than I had been recently.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? 

I have a regular OB appt Monday and a 32 week u/s on Tuesday. I am anxious for the u/s b/c I am measuring BIG for the first time ever. Although I am always huge when pregnant and look further along than I am, the baby usually measures right on. So, I'm a little nervous about that. I had high fluid last time and am wondering if that may be the case again. Also, we had an echogenic focus on the heart at our 20 week scan. It was an isolated finding so likely NOTHING but am still wanting to see if it's still there and make sure they don't see any other markers. (EIF can be a soft marker for Down syndrome).

QOTW:  What are your favorite creature comforts when it's cold out?

I live in a cold state but meant for warm, I think, so I pretty much want to hibernate all winter. I keep baking stuff (and eating it). I have had few cravings or aversions but am suddenly wanting vanilla lattes and cocoa. Warm fuzzy socks. I do like to watch it snow outside the windows while I am warm inside--makes me feel very cozy.

May 15, 2015 -- 11weeks, 1 day, a lemon!

4. How are you feeling? Definitely improving. Still a few gastro symptoms and still more tired in the evenings than normally but so much better than 2-3 weeks ago!

On another note, I'm nearing a time when anything with an elastic band will have to go right out the window.

We shared the news with my parents on Friday, which went as well as it could have - they are very happy but immediately had all kinds of advice. 

I don't have any appointments until December 5, and have decided to get a doppler in the meantime. I probably won't use it often but just want some reassurance before the anatomy scan.

QOTW:  What are your favorite creature comforts when it's cold out?

Soup, mulled wine, tea, jam donuts and a fireplace (all ideally at a ski lodge, after a good day out).

@Marijaa333 thanks for the link and the thoughts..I gather that you're over-the-pond? I lived in London for several years (near Canary Wharf area).. Very familiar with the NHS..

@ThreeXsaCharm I was there for 3.5 years but now back. Lived in Clerkenwell, Highbury & Islington, and Holland Park. Miss some things about it but certainly not the cost of living!  Apparently, Qatari investors are after Canary Wharf!

Overall, pretty good! Nausea is mostly gone now and I'm so grateful. I've been having some mild pain from SPD, update on that below.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
@lady2010 and @mandyreads - I had an appointment with an obstetric physical therapist last week for pain from my symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD) that I developed while running in my third trimester last pregnancy. I started to have some aching pain early in this pregnancy and my midwife made the referral. I didn't even know there was such a thing as an obstetric physical therapist! But she was great. She gave me some exercises and stretches to do that I could tell were already helping just doing them in her office. She also recommended massage and stretching of the piriformis muscle, which apparently gets overly tight and can pull the pelvic bones out of alignment. Hubby can massage the muscle with his elbow while I lay on my side. Another helpful tip she gave was to pretend you're wearing a miniskirt at all times, that way you keep your legs closer together better. Anyway, I had to give up running this pregnancy (which actually made me cry in her office!) but now I see it as an opportunity to explore other kinds of exercise.

QOTW:  What are your favorite creature comforts when it's cold out? Definitely getting a fire going in the fireplace. Snuggling under a blanket and watching a movie. Cookies sound good, too! Oooh, maybe like a molten chocolate cake.

Currently 39 / will be 40 at delivery
Have been feeling pretty tired and nauseous for the last couple of weeks. Hope it lightens up soon!
Dec 8th - next u/s with blood DNA testing (cannot wait for this to be behind us)
Love my cashmere robe and fuzzy blanket on cold days/nights!

Oh dear....they would have to put me in an induced coma...for real. That's horrible. MH is actually worried lol. I sound like a seal at night. OB appt on Wed.

mandyreads - so I just had my appt this morning - OB said the pelvic pain is normal and that I shouldn't cut back on my activity as a result.  She didn't examine me (for the pain) or anything.  So I am guessing what I have is not SPD but just really bad pain - or she just is dismissing it.  Will see how it goes the next few weeks - if it persists then I will bring it up again in 2 weeks - that appt is with the midwife.
