Trouble TTC

Intro TTTC...

Hello everyone!
I been member of this community for a very short time, I was recommended from the Trying to Conceive community to come and have a look here since I been trying for over 19 months.

Well first thing, my name is Luz, you can notice that my English is not excellent and sometimes it will be understandable but there are still many words and acronyms I do not know so feel free to correct me since instead of getting offended I will appreciate it deeply :)
I am from Cancun, Mexico. Moved about a year and a half ago to Texas and yes, I know people always ask me why but believe it or not my hubby didn't want to move to Mexico since his Spanish is "no bueno" and his family lives here in Texas so.. I grabbed my luggage and my two furry babies and here I am! The change has been very difficult since is not very easy to leave everything behind and also I am not having lots of luck making new friends. At my work I am surrounded by younger people I have nothing in common and even when is nice to have them around I wish I could meet someone that will match more my interest hehehe. What else I can say about me?.. well I love sweets, music, moscato, reading and chilling at home with my hubby and my babies Pancho and Lola. We been trying to get pregnant since March last year. First we decided to leave it to mother nature and not to worry about it, after few months of no luck I started to panic, Im 32 years old and I know is not too late but I started to worry that something might be wrong with me. 3 years ago I went to a OB in Cancun since my periods were not very regular and I started with metformin which actually helped me regulate them but somehow I worried there might be something else there. I went to a RE and we started to make test, they gave me clomid 50 mg which I been taking for 6 cycles already, 2 cycles ago they also gave me the trigger shot but hubby ended sick and we really didn't have too much action lol... This month I also did the trigger shot and I am currently in the TWW (which actually is been over 2 weeks but anyway lol). I am excited to meet some people is going to the same path, I know is not easy, it is scary and also frustrating and some days I just feel so depressed but I keep praying, I know there is still hope and I keep myself focus on that hope and the dream of holding my baby on my arms which keeps me on this road. I admire all woman who been through this because I know how it feels and how strong we need to be.
Well after this long intro I would like people to share their experiences with TTTC, how you manage to keep on track, what treatment are you into, how your body reacts to the meds (I know every body is different but still), anyway, I want to give you ll the support and even when we might only know each others through a website and we only get to text on a forum I know we can be friends :)
As I said I am on the TWW, I am waiting to see what my body decides to do this time since I been having the worst cramps ever for the past 9 days (which sucks since I never ever had a cramp grr...) I triggered on Oct 27 and ovulated either 28 at night or 29 (I am not sure but those 2 days I had sore breast) I tested 2 times I believe 11 and 12 do with BFN so I gave up and now I am just expecting for AF to show so I can plan my next cycle.  I am still learning how to chart and next month I am excited to start temping . Any advices will be appreciated!

Thank you for taking your time to read this and best wishes for you all!

Re: Intro TTTC...

  • Welcome... sorry you find yourself here. Where in TX are you? I also moved to Texas (Dallas, then San Antonio) for a guy and I know how hard it can be to make friends there! Hang in there - it is a tough area, but I promise that eventually you will learn to love it there.

Hang in there - wishing you the best!

  • @beckermo4 thank you so much!
I moved to Fort Worth, it is actually pretty nice just the weather is killing me, I guess I got too spoiled with the eternal summer time we have in Cancun.
Thank you for the wishes, my best to you too!!
  • Welcome. I'm a former Texas girl (Dallas and Austin).

    All Welcome

  • All I would say regarding your treatment stuff is not to worry about charting and temping at this point. You are way past that. There is no need to revert back to TTGP 101. You're working with an RE, put the BBT away and let yourself sleep in on Saturdays.  They will let you know when you are going to O.
    All of this!

Welcome and good luck!  You will find a lot of support here.

  • Welcome and good luck.
  • Thank you all for this welcoming messages, I feel so blessed to have find such a nice group of ladies here who are going through a similar situation trying to get pregnant :)
@deelopi9 and @Rumbera28 thank you, I will definitely PM you girls with any español stuff I can figure out...
I am starting another clomid round, I am excited to start this month, is a new hope to conceive!! I am worry since apparently I need to get trigger on the 27th and it is thanksgiving, they won't open this day right?

Also I do have a question, if someone can recommend me or advise me: I did an HSG test 3 years ago and everything looked fine however I was thinking maybe I should get a new one. I read it helps little bit to conceive the first 3 months after doing it. My RE suggested it last cycle but I thought I do not need it since last one came good and I even provided the results from my previous OB from Cancun to him however I am thinking on doing it again since lots of things can change after 3 years right? Shall I wait more time or get it done? Also, anyone know how much is it and if insurance might cover it, I have United Health insurance but honestly I have no idea how Insurance works, all I know so far overtime I go to RE it covers 70% of my test and I end up just paying about 80 dollars every visit but I know it won't cover infertility.
Any advice on how to figure it out will be welcome.

    Big hugs for you all!!
  • Welcome and best wishes to you!!!
  • Thank you so much "BlueFairy5 the info really helps me to have an idea how to do things. My work website do not really explain a lot and it is very hard to understand all the terminology and weird words they use lol...
My RE told me today they will wait till next cycle to do the HSG if I do not get lucky this cycle. I am gonna keep the metformin, clomid and trigger shot with TI this cycle and then we will see from there according to him. It is hard this next couple months to do all this stuff due the holidays. I am supposed to be trigger on the 27th but due thanksgiving they schedule my appointment for the 29, I really hope everything goes right :)

@englandxo thank you!!! I struggle with my writing but I certainly do my best (autocorrect is best thing ever invented for me hahaha!!!)

I send you girls all my best wishes and hugs.
