Let me begin with a sincere THANKS to this group for their wisdom, laughter and shared frustrations over these past several months! I honestly thought I would remain a lurker but then realized, 1) lurker is just too dangerously close to "creeper" and 2) maybe someone could find comfort or humor in my future mind drippings as a first time mom. Here's hoping - and here's to such a great support system.
Necessary intro: I'm a first time mom to my daughter Evalyn (Eva) - expected due date August 23rd, arrival date - September 3rd @ 6:59am. She weighed 7lb, 7 oz and was 22in long. Longest 11 days of waiting ever. Labor was 30 hours long, plans for a natural birth were squashed 23-hours in when my pain level coupled with total exhaustion began producing fluffy pink elephant hallucinations! That epidural was pure bliss. She's a healthy, generally happy little girl and dad and I could not be happier.
Thanks in advance for taking on yet another lurker! Congrats to all of you moms and your little ones.
