Newbie OPK question

Hi ladies, 

I just starting charting and using OPKs so I'm utterly confused! my temp has been steady and I wasn't planning to start using OPKs till cycle day 10. Today is cycle day 6 and i had some left side cramping with some EWCM so i decided to use an OPK. Its pretty dark but not positive, is it normal for it to be so dark on cycle day 6? My cycles are pretty average but this is my first cycle post D&C…

Given that it is your first cycle post loss it is possible it will be a short one (i.e. early O). Cycles really do what they want after an m/c. I had one that was 14 days, another was 21.

Keep an eye on your chart. HCG will also turn an OPK positive so if your levels are not all the way down that could be giving you a weird reading. You can get a period without being totally back to 0.

I tested a week before my period and got a BFN on a FRER...

You don't have PCOS, right?

I don't want to start a new thread for another opk question but I'm confused and hope one of you ladies can shed some light on this. My opk yesterday was as dark but not darker than the control line. Today my opk is blaring positive the test line is very dark. Does this mean yesterday's opk wasn't really positive? TIA

@Amybunny30‌ thank you for your response. Yes we are back to ttc this cycle. My temperature took a dip this morning so I'll guess I'll have to wait and see.

Some people dip the day before their temp rises, indicating ovulation, so that may be a good sign.

Thank you @whitneyandconcep‌ ... I'm just going to wait it out and quit stressing about it... I have the feeling this will be anovulatory but I don't want to over think it....

@ChanelA, I wouldn't jump to anovulatory just yet. I wouldn't be surprised if yesterday was O day. Only your temp over the next few days will be able to confirm, but it's still way early to assume you won't ovulate.

@chanelA I agree with @BethKate2 Give it a few days and see. FX it happened yesterday. It looks like that would give you pretty good timing!
