Stupid Spotting [UPDATE again]

UPDATE: So my RE's office called back and they did not want me to come in. They said it is probably the SCH or irritation from the transvaginal ultrasound or Crinone progesterone application. They said to call back if there's red blood or cramping or, if that happens in the middle of the night, to go to the emergency room. 

I also called my primary care doc's office (she's the family practice doctor who delivered my son) because I haven't been established with an OB yet this pregnancy. I was planning on seeing a new OB and literally just called this morning to get the referral process going. Of course, my primary care doc is out of the office today. The nurse on call said she'd see if she could get one of the other docs to order an ultrasound for me, but she said she couldn't promise that would happen, as it is late in the day. Grrrrrr. I have a feeling I'll just be waiting it out. This is one of the reasons I am switching to a new OB--because I felt like I always slipped through the cracks with my old provider and, anyway, she's a family practitioner who delivers babies, not an OB. A relic from my old life when pregnancy was easy and low risk. Sigh.  Sorry for the ramble. Just frustrated.

UPDATE 2: I'm definitely not getting an ultrasound today. Nurse just called back. I may be able to go in tomorrow. I'm supposed to call the office again in the morning.
UPDATE 3: spotting is bright red now & now both Dr's offices are closed. Fuck this, I'm going to the ER.

Just noticed some pink spotting on my liner when I went to the bathroom. Called my doctor's office and waiting for a call back. I had an ultrasound on Tuesday where we saw the heartbeat, but the tech also pointed out a small subchorionic bleed at that time. I'm hoping the bleeding is just from that. I haven't had spotting at all yet with this pregnancy. 

Of course PGAL brain is going nuts.

    Oh no! I'm glad they told you about the bleed so you know it's probably coming from that. I'm so sorry. I know that must have been so hard to see. I hope your doctor can give you some reassurance when they call back! Maybe squeeze you in for a quick check? Lots of hugs!! Thinking of you.

    Ugh... spotting is such a stressful thing!  I had a SCH with DS and had spotting.  FX that it's just the SCH.

    SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.

    Awe..so sorry your going through this!! I know it's scary, but stay positive!! Perhaps it's just the SCH they noticed on the ultrasound but you hadn't bled out any of yet. Thoughts, Prayers, and Hugs!!

    @RN536 I know. Go away, PGAL brain! I had a gush of bright red spotting after sex at 20 weeks when I was pregnant with my DS, and he's just fine. This is not nearly as much blood or red like that was. Maybe I'm just a bleeder  :(

    I am 100% with you on switching from my family practice to a more "specialized OB". I'm doing the same thing!! Where I was going they had four gynecologist who also did OB care but only one ultrasound in the office so you had to schedule far in advance. When my first ultrasound was scheduled with my last pregnancy the machine wasn't working so they had to send me to a perinatologist who couldn't get me in for three weeks. I was devistated. This time we got a referral for a new high risk OB office who has several ultrasounds, ultrasound technicians, and understanding/sympathy!! I SO hope you can get in tomorrow for the extra reassurance but I just know all is well and you'll have a growing LO. Your in my thoughts and prayers!!

    Hoping that it is the SCH. FWIW, I had a SCH with my 2nd and had all sorts of spotting due to it. Either way it is not fun. Thinking of you!
