No movement in 1.5 hours

my due date us in two days. I noticed she was moving less than normal today but didn't start kick counts until a couple hours ago. I haven't felt her move, but have had long, continuous contractions. She was thrashing about the same time last night. Anyone experience this? I'm freaking out a bit.

Re: No movement in 1.5 hours

  • Drink some orange juice. But if you are really concerned I would go in.

  • If youre worried please go into L&D. The last thing anyone wants is for there to be something wrong. Its their job to check on your baby, use them! They take movement very seriously, so please, just go in.
  • She is probably sleeping, relax:)
My dr has been telling me as long as you get your kick counts in all is fine. You could try to eat/drink a sugary snack or drink ice cold water and lay on your left side to see if she moves any with the next hr or so.
  • I have chores down on ice and laid on my left side for another 45 minutes. Left a message for an after hours nurse to call me. Trying my hardest to relax until I hear from the nurse.
  • This happened to me the day before I went into labor. I went to L&D for my own peace of mind and they monitored him for an hour and made sure all was well before telling me that it's "the calm before the storm" and he's prob napping to rest up for delivery. If you're really nervous go get checked out. It made me sleep much better.
