TTC After a Loss

Just some random questions

I'm bored today (or rather, avoiding work) and in a grumpy mood.  So just some random questions to distract me.

1. Do D&C's count as surgery?  At an annual check up with a regular doctor they ask you if you've had any surgeries, is the answer yes now?  I know its technically a surgery, but didn't know if its important enough to have to mention it every time I'm filling out medical paperwork.

2. When do you mark spotting on FF?  I've been marking spotting on FF for a week now but I'm only seeing it when I wipe.  Still worth recording?

Re: Just some random questions

  • Yes to both.

  • I would agree, yes to both.

I have a random question too. What do you mark on your chart for CM that changes during the day. For instance, I've noticed at the beginning of my cycle, my CM would start off creamy at the beginning of the day, then change to very sticky. What would you mark that as on your chart for the day?

Honestly if it's comparing sticky and creamy it's no big deal. But, if your CM changes from creamy to fertile then always mark the most fertile CM for that day.
  • Lovely, I just had to tell the dental receptionist what a D&C is for. I really don't understand why a general doctor would need to know about a d&c. :/

  • Yes and it completely sucks. I've even filled out forms that ask how many pregnancies you've had and how many LC you have. Awful.

Hope the appt at least goes well

    PgAL welcome

  • @Km380, that's awful.  Thankfully the appt. went well.  My blood pressure was through the roof when she took it because I was so upset.  But it came down a lot by the time I left.

  • 1. I would consider it surgery, especially of they used general anesthesia. And I usually find when filling out those forms, the more info, the better. Even if you feel like you are giving up too much info, it's usually important for your doctor to know:)

    2. I would mark any sort of spotting, regardless of how little. It might seem insignificant right now. But when it comes to charting, a lot of times you can see trends when looking back on a previous cycle.
