March 2015 Moms

Anyone else notice the third one sucks!:)

On baby #3 here, and everything with this pregnancy is a thousand times worse than my first 2! Pain everywhere! Constantly! And so many emotions! I don't remember being this much of a hot mess before. Apparently this is par for course. According to my midwife. Each pregnancy is apparently worse than the last. I was expecting smooth sailing since I've done this twice before! But nope!!
Anyone else experience this too?

Re: Anyone else notice the third one sucks!:)

  • Most of my symptoms are the same as my first two pregnancies, but I'm a lot more tired, which I've just attributed to being older (I'm 39).  And I'm emotional, which I remember distinctly from #1 but not #2.
    DD born 10/10/07 * DS born 11/25/11 * #3 due 3/9/2015

  • At least labour gets easier? Maybe?!? No probably not.

My sister in law delivered her niece at home because the third one came so fast!!! None of this 48 hrs in labour crap that I'm scared of as a ftm

  • This is definitely the hardest pregnancy on my body than the other 2. My pregnancy with my daughter was miserable, sick and in pain and even had preterm labor, and my then my son was a piece of cake. It was like I wasn't pregnant according to not having many symptoms just growing a belly lol. But this one has been rough from the start. I thought it was another girl because I was so sick in 1st tri and I've been exhausted all the time, but it's another boy! I'm in pain everywhere in my body constantly. Makes me nervous for birth with this one.. But gosh it's so worth it. <3
  • Ya, I wonder too!!! My mother was in labour with me for at least 16 hours, my little brother was almost born in the cab!!! And then to hear that my sister in law's sister had 4 kids, each one coming faster then the last, I just assumed that was how it went!!! First time things are tighter and stuff? Isn't that why you show earlier with subsequent pregnancies?? Anyways guess it's not always the case!!! Another old wives tale I suppose?!?

  • Oh man I'm terrified of how fast this one could possibly come once I go into labor. My first, my daughter, labor to delivery was 33 hours. Then my son - start to finish - was an hour and a half.
  • Yeah.  My third pregnancy sucked ass.  Thanks for asking.
  • Im in my third pregnancy. More miserable and uncomfortable and bigger way faster. Ugh
  • This is 3 for me, and it is way harder. I am always tired, always in pain, I have the pain by my crotch(where my leg meets) it hurts so bad all the time that I can barely walk, it hurts to sleep, I wake a million times at night and not to pee.
On one hand I can't wait for it to be over on the other, I will have three kids at home, and my daughter is a mommy suck, so I don't know how that will go.

I had 4 hrs of labour with each. If I go faster I don't think I will make it to the hospital. Eeek...
  • Totally agree. . . . third pregnancy sucks balls!  My bones are soo sore.  Even a massage doesnt' make me feel better :(.

As for labor . .  my first one was 6.5hrs . . . second one I was only in the hospital for 6 mins (30-40mins total) and for this one I'm going to be put on bedrest in the hospital because I went early with both so they can't induce and control it and otherwise I won't make it :/.  The labor doesn't scare me at all it's the uterus contracting back to size.  It was incredibly painful with my last one and I hear it gets worse with more pregnancies :(
  • I'm in my third, and I am definitely way more tired than with my other two, but I'm fairly certain it's only because I work in a restaurant from 4 pm til 1-3 am and am on my feet all night. My other two, I didn't work.
But other than that, everything else has been way easier..I haven't gained anywhere near the weight I did with the other two and I think that has really helped keep a lot of pregnancy symptoms at bay.

I'm anxious about labor.. my first two were both induced, and only 4 hours from breaking my water to delivery. I'm not planning on inducing with this one, so we'll see how long my labor will be!
  • Thanks for all the responses ladies! I don't feel so alone! Lol. This is the 3rd pregnancy in 4 years. And frankly I'm just not enjoying it. I love my growing belly and I love that I get to snuggle another newborn soon. But that's about it! Lol.
As for labor I'm a little concerned that my midwife won't get to me in time. My first I labored for about 6 hrs. My second came in less than 4!!! Sooo yeah,.. We'll see what happens!!
  • Yes! Yes! Yes! This is my third as well and I have been miserable in most ways every single moment. Yikes.
  • #5 over here. For me, #3 wasn't as awful. My labors have gotten quicker (down from 25 hours with the 1st) but for some reason going from 2 kids to 3, that was the hardest so far. Adding a 4th was a breeze comparatively.
  • #3 for me too!

This has been by far the hardest of the pregnancies.  Sore beyond belief and so tired but can't sleep. AHHH! Is it March yet!

I suspect my labor will be pretty fast.  My first, DD, came early at 35 1/2 weeks (or so they think) and labor was only 6 hours and my second, DS, came at 39 weeks, and labor was 5 hours but he was sunny side up and if he had been facing the right way it would have been really quick.

Best of luck ladies.  Just think we are more than 1/2 way there. Maybe the third Trimester will be easier!
