Thanks! I'm kind of digging it right now! ;-)
Mine has always been nicely sized, but I have had a couple people ask if its gotten bigger. I'll take it.

Wow, that's a bold question! Haha. They're lucky you take it well, lol.

Haha I guess I should have specified family! Mostly my mom and sisters!

@jcar2, do you know what you're having yet?  I'm thinking I read somewhere that it's a girl?  Not be all "OMG you're totes having a boy!!" but that bump meets the criteria of the OWT for boys :)

I'm actually having a girl. I've had a few people comment about how low I'm carrying. I carried DS low too but she is sitting really low. All of her movements for the most part are felt at my pelvis area. Although as soon as I typed that she decided to prove me wrong and kick my arm which is sitting up on my belly. I don't remember feeling DS as low as she is. Either way, a total OWT fail, unless of course she comes out as a boy. ;)

I do believe I was all belly with DS and with her, I've gained in my belly and thighs so maybe that OWT holds true?

I've had a ton of people that I serve at work ask if I'm having a boy because of how low I'm carrying too! They're always shocked when I say I'm having a girl lol
  • Yea I don't get that chart either. I just divide by 4 for my months. So I figured 24 weeks -> 6 months.
  • I've seen this and a similar chart before and I just can't wrap my head around at saying 6 months at 22 weeks! Just because you know 4 weeks in a month, no matter how these kind of charts are explained! @st3wd
I did at first too, but then there was a pissy family debate started by BIL whether or not women need to say they're pregnant for 10 months or if we should switch which "month" we're in based off the average of 4.5 weeks/month math. I finally said screw it, found the chart, and everyone seems happier.

I don't find the week counting to be a difficult concept, but the general public seems to struggle. hahaha

************************* The easiest thing for me is to just go by my estimated due date. If I'm due on March 7, then on February 7 I'll be 8 months pregnant, on January 7 I'll be 7 months, on December 7 I'll be 6 months.
I tried that, but it was really a losing battle with him. He's mostly in it for the argument of technicalities, so I don't talk to him about anything pregnancy related anymore. You should've heard his tangent on med-free birth.

  • Well if it's any help we just learned in my nursing OB course that pregnancy is actually 10 lunar months, 9 calendar months, 40 weeks or 280 days. So technically either way you would be right.
  • 20 weeks baby #3 :)
  • So exciting to see everyone's lovely growing bumps!!

I'm super late because of my crazy work week, but still want to participate.

    23 weeks FTM.
