I had the best results with Honest Co. My daughter always had blowouts up the back and these seemed to be higher in the back and kept everything in. Like other people have said- depends on the kid- I've also heard some brands work better for boys, some for girls.
With my son we initially bought pampers but we were also given Huggies and Luvs. He didn't have any reactions or anything to any of the brands, I just preferred Pampers. I will try Pampers with baby girl as well
Uh huh? I don't either. But if I wanted to find out, I would ask an actual question. Like with punctuation, and capital letters, and enough words so we can tell you're a real human being.
Has anyone used target brand? They were running a sale a few weeks ago where for 2 big boxes they have you a 20$ gift card, so I bought them. For the sale & price & 20$ back they worked out to like 7 cents a diaper, so I feel like even if they're just emergency backups they're fine.
Yea and not only is it different for every kid, even different styles of the same brand are different. We always use pampers swaddlers, have always been great for us. But a few times I had to buy pampers Baby Dry, I hate them!!! You'd think if a diaper leaked, it would be in the side crotch area or something... But nope, these babies soak straight through the front. And not just during overnights Stupid name for diapers that soak right through.
I liked pampers when she was a newborn but then we went to cloth. When we were on vacation I brought pampers and they actually burned her. We won't be buying pampers again. Walgreens Well Beginnings have been good to us for night time diapers.

Up & up? I loved those. We did cloth but used up & up for newborn and for traveling. They don't smell funny to me like pampers or Huggies do.

Yea, we want to cloth mostly too, but I figured it couldn't hurt to have disposables on hand, especially on those days when you're out of the house for the whole day. (Or if you're me forget to do laundry & realize you have like one pair of clean underwear left.)

I think there are two kinds of overnight or 12 hour pampers, one I thought leaked right through prob the baby Dry. But the other 12 hour ones we loved & used all the time till my son potty trained.
We did Pampers until size 2-3 and then either Huggies or Targets Up and Up brand (which are super similar). Now that my son is potty training and we don't have major diaper needs, I've found that Luvs work pretty well for him and are cheaper than the Target brand.
Oh! And we love the Huggies or Walmart brand cucumber wipes. I hated the Pampers because I felt like they slipped around when trying to clean up poo. It's all trial and error and personal preference.
My son used Pampers Swaddlers till size 3 then someone suggested we try Luvs and we have saved soooo much money! This time around we're hoping Luvs works just as well for our little girl. We had experimented with Kirkland brand & Huggies but he had lots of accidents.

I think the general consensus of being different for every kid can be confusing. But the advice that comes from that (I'm a FTM who's done a lot of reading) is that you should not stock up, but save up. Go with a popular brand and only buy one box of the same size and maybe the second.
There are different ways of saving up. You can purchase and set aside gift cards to a place that has a wide selection, maybe amazon or target or put money in the savings account or jar, etc. If you do choose to stock up, don't open them and save receipts.
I'm using cloth, btw, and I'm doing something similar. I'm getting infant prefolds and getting several different kinds of the one size diapers because what works for some babies might not be best for mine, and some might be better for different situations, etc.
We used Pampers Swaddlers until he was about 7 months and then we switched to the generic store brand. We will probably try and start with the same pampers swaddlers again and then switch to cheaper later on.
