Anyone with morning sickness when hungry?

Sorry in advance that I'm not posting on the daily symptoms thread but I dont really have time to filter through pages of symptoms looking for an answer. Anyways, for the women who are experiencing mild morning sickness (i.e. nausea but no vomiting) do you notice that its the worst when you you're hungry? This morning I felt so nauseous and forced myself to eat some cardboard aka saltines and could only manage to get a few down. As soon as I stood up, I had that awful coughing where you actually feel like you're going to throw up and I ran to the bathroom and my eyes got all watery but luckily, I didnt throw up. I managed to eat a bowl of cereal and then like an hour later on my car ride to work, started feeling hungry and nauseous again, until I got to work and drank some hot chocolate.

Why am I starving an hour after I eat and how come every time I'm hungry, I feel like I'm going to throw up?! Not to mention the simultaneous feeling of nausea/hunger.

You're not eating often enough. Add in some snacks....

FYI (in the best possible way): starting off your post this way is not going to get many answers for you that you are looking for.  It's just like saying, "I don't care if someone gave a great answer where I'm supposed to post this, but I'm going to post it here anyway."

  • This is soooo me!! It's so bizarre. If I let myself get the slightest bit of hunger going on I instantly feel the need to vomit and start heaving. I've only been nauseous a handful of time otherwise. But literally every time I get hungry it's a nightmare and I have to just shove anything I can get my hand on into my mouth!!! But...if I eat too much I also feel as though I may puke. So I try to limit the amount I am eating...maybe that is why I'm so hungry??? Idk but I feel your pain. :'(
  • Yes that is exactly my feelings all day! Everything you described is what I feel. I have come to carry snacks in my bag because the nausea hunger sneaks up on me so incredibly quick. I can be fine and five minutes later I'm starving nauseous. I would suggest keeping snacks on hand at all times.

No, it means that I have a job and legitimately dont have time to go through every single days worth of hundreds of peoples symptoms, but I dont feel like being reprimanded by the thread police.

Yep. One night I was so hungry and ate like half a pizza and was curled up on my bed within 30 minutes pretty sure I was either going to die or throw up right there. Then the next night, I wanted pasta sooo badly but by the time I got it, I was starving and felt so sick that I could only eat like two bites. I had to resort to a pear and string cheese that night because it was all I could get down.

I don't ever remember feeling nauseous when I was hungry, before I got pregnant, except for maybe when I hadnt eaten like all day or something. But, waking up at 7:30am and feeling so hungry that I'm nauseous is definitely not normal!

I think I'm going to have to go to the grocery store and get snacks for my desk at work. I had a chicken quesadilla yesterday for lunch from taco bell...the thing was like 550 calories and within an hour, I was so hungry I felt like I hadnt eaten all day. It's crazy!
  • My OB suggested 6 meals a day (small). I have the same issue. If I don't eat I get a crazy nauseous/ hungry feeling. It is awful. If I don't eat something quickly enough it just turns into straight nausea.
  • I feel this way too! It's rough when ur chasing a toddler and a working.. I'm sure my co workers are thinking "she's always eating" .. My husband thinks I am crazy too... Lol I need to snack on something every 2/3 hours or the quizzyness sets in...
  • Yes yes yes! Watermelon and fruit was the only food I could bare to even think about at first but luckily it's getting easier!
