@Momentomori- How's the 2WW so far?  Keep in mind, 9 dpo is still a little early....

@mkfish31 - I am sorry AF showed.  How are you doing?

@vesperlynch - Anything new and exciting with you this week?

@whitneyandconcep - I think yesterday's dip is a good sign (I usually get one within a couple days of O), though I see you haven't gotten a +OPK.  I wonder if you missed your surge?

Hi everyone.  Well, I am officially on the bench (for like the next 5 months - sigh).  I have an appointment tomorrow for CD3 blood work, but I decided not to do the fasting blood work because I cannot handle 8 vials while fasting (they were not able to get 5 or 6 last week when I almost fainted).  Friday I have my MRI and I am awfully nervous - I don't know why.  I'm sure it's not a big deal, but it feels like one.  Anyway, it is what it is and there is no getting around it if I want a shot at this.  

QOTW: My paternal grandfather was in the Air Force in WWII.  He met my grandmother, who was English, and she became a war bride.  My paternal aunt was born in London, but my dad was born in Nebraska.  I cannot imagine how big of a culture shock that was for my poor grandmother!

@meredithcarole‌ sorry you're on the bench have you decided on when you're going to have the surgery? I've had an MRI, and it was not nearly as bad as I expected. It really helped me to just close my eyes, focus on deep breathing, and try to drift off. It was loud, so I didn't fall asleep, but I did daydream. Good luck on your blood work!

I have no idea what's going on this cycle. I did opk yesterday and it was negative, and so ewcm yet, so I don't think I missed my surge (hopefully). I hadn't added my opk to my chart, so I just did.

DH and I had a talk about how ovulation works and temping and opks, so he knows this week I want to bd as much as possible, but I'm leaving it up to him to initiate so there's no pressure. He just started a new job where he's working 60+ hours per week, and he's finishing a remodel of my aunt's farm house on his days off. I know he's exhausted, and this cycle may not be the one for us. I know we're doing all we can, so I'm pretty ok with it.

QOTW - I dont have any vets in my family, but I do have a few friends who served. My best friend from high school was a linguist who learned Russian and was deployed to Europe and the Middle East. She's really an amazing person!

@meredithcarole - T&Ps for you on Friday. I hope those 5 months fly by for you- I know this is so hard to deal with. Hugs!

@whitneyandconcep -Sorry your cycle has been unpredictable for you. I think I need to take some pointers from your approach to sex this month. I don't think my husband can take anymore heavy pressure from me during our FW. I just need to maybe let him initiate it. 

I'm doing as expected on CD2. It hurt worse on Friday and Sat when I kept getting negative HPTs. At least AF came when FF predicted. On a good note, I know my LP was 12 days long this month. So that is one positive thing! I have my RE appt next Tues where I am having a SIS US. I think some folks have talked about it being uncomfortable, but not terrible. Hopefully all will go well. 

QOTW: Thankful for DH who served in the Army for 7 years as a Blackhawk pilot. He did 2 tours in Iraq. He is out of the military now but I am still so proud of him. He is my rock.

TWW is going OK.  I keep going back and forth between optimism and pessimism.  I wish I could go back to the naivety of NTNP before our first loss.  I feel like I have been obsessed with this for a year now, and it is starting to take its toll.  

I only really tested today because I have a dental procedure and want to be armed with the best information.  And if they put me on anything, I will be testing every day until AF.  

I am definitely thankful for our veterans, and there are many in my life.  Specifically though all 5 of my great uncles who fought in WWII and RETURNED for WWII.  That amazes me.  One of them lied about his age, and went at 16.  

I have everything crossed that this cycle works out for you! I absolutely get where you're coming from on it taking a toll. To a degree I think the bench might be good for me for that reason - forced rest from TTC.

I can't believe one of them went to war at 16!

Wow! 60 hours a week is exhausting. Poor H! I am sorry your body is not really cooperating. I hope you O soon!

In answer to your question, I just scheduled the surgery for Dec. 17th...

Sometimes I think the BFN is actually worse than AF. I didn't even bother testing this month. I am glad your LP was where you would like to see it at least. And we are cycle buddies currently

My biggest excitement this week is work (crossposted on AMA)--a proposal I wrote got okayed all through my chain of command, and I can now (hopefully) get it realized. It is so awesome when stuff happens as a result of what we do!

QOTW: DH is a veteran, and while it's not a big deal to him (he basically says he just did what he wanted to do), I'm thankful that the armed forced brought us together because that's how we met.

@whitneyandconcep - Your poor hubby--sounds like a straining schedule! I hope you still get to DTD.

@mkfish31 - I'm sorry about the negatives, love. ((Hugs)) GL at your RE appt!

@momentomori - I hear you on the naivete. I had to think about that today--we've stopped trying, and I'm okay with that, and it occurred to me today that being KU would pretty much bring so much fear--dread really. But I hope your optimism wins out, even if this isn't your cycle.

I'm doing good. I finally got CHs! So I'm in the TWW now. I'm not feeling very optimistic this cycle however which might be a good thing when the cycle doesn't end well. My mom is doing ok, she's going for surgery to remove the cancer they can see on Monday and also do a biopsy to see if it has spread any. Maybe I'm using all my optimism for my mom this month! I hope everybody has a great week!
