How's it going ladies?

Today's topic: Tell me all the things you're doing to prepare, OR give me all your best excuses why you've gotten nothing done yet.

Also, if the grads check in is going to be kept up, someone will need to take over in a few weeks here. Anyone want to claim it?

Ugh [-( I'm still hanging in there. I have my GBS test tmro. Guess I better shave my legs! I started taking evening primrose oil last week. I did that with Harper too and she came a week early and I had a successful vbac so who knows, it could've made a difference :-/ I'm so ready to nit be pregnant anymore but not sure I'm ready for a zoo of children lol.

Well my condomless Birthday sex has brought me to this thread. I got a BFP Saturday! I am somewhere between 5-7 weeks. I'm still in shock. Obviously this wasn't planned but we are excited. I go in Dec 5th and will hopefully get a better idea of how far along I am then.

I'm not a pact grad and only recently started visiting this board, but I'm due any minute now, and the past few days I haven't done a single thing to get ready. I guess my excuse is that I'm a lazy bum who has lost all motivation. My maternity leave started, but yesterday I took my toddler to day care- because he loves it, and if I went into labor with him here I'd be stranded (day care is nowhere near the hospital,) and had a day completely to myself for the first time in over two years. So instead of doing something productive I got a gigantic sandwich, rented a movie for the first time in ages, and spent the day having a picnic by myself on the living room floor while watching a movie that has been on my wish list since my son was born. And do you know what? It was FANTASTIC!

And avoiding answering the phone. I can't deal with one more "Have you had the baby yet?" conversation, or another request for a specific date so that my baby can share a birthday with my aunt's knitting teacher's son or whoever.

Oh, and spending way too much time perusing this board and looking at cloth diapers online, even though we're probably all set- if I'm hiding my behavior from my husband, does it mean that I have a problem?

22w here... why does the second pregnancy go by so much faster? With the first I feel like I had two years to prepare. Okay to be fair, there's far less to do. I pulled out a bunch of GN clothes from storage and have started washing them. That's as far as my prep has gotten. I'm really dragging my feet because I hate spending money. Also, I'm going to try BFing this time around and I'm supremely terrified. I feel like I should get things to prep for that but again, I hate spending money. Gah!

@candlequeen‌ How does a second attempted VBAC work? Like you've had the one already, so would they let you go overdue (although lol, clearly not wishing that on you!)?

I'm finally almost 'ready' feeling. I still have to finish up some of my diapers, pull out and wash things like my Moby, the swing, etc, and my house still has some small clutter spots that I've got to try to get to, but if she came home from the hospital tomorrow, I'd be happy with how much I've gotten done to prepare for her. So now that probably means I'll go to 42 weeks, haha.

21 weeks now. So far I have done zippo to prepare. Well, I've been working on my Kegels, so that's something. Sometime around or probably right after Christmas, we will clean out the office/guest room/storage room and move DD up there, but I'm not in a big hurry to do that. I'll pull out newborn clothes and diapers in February at some point and wash and set up. Not much else to do preparation-wise. 

I have a lot else going on right now. Just finished my teacher training, so now I'm a (provisionally) certified Bradley Method instructor, and I plan to start teaching classes in the next month hopefully, which I'm inordinately excited about. I think it will help get me ready for another labor & birth as well.  Plus all the holiday stuff, hosting Thanksgiving, doing Christmas shopping and preparations, I think the next six weeks are going to fly by. Hopefully January and February aren't miserable and boring in comparison.

33 weeks over here. Hoping for these last few weeks to steadily roll on by. 

Last week I got all of our newborn diapers prepped and organized into baskets. We have a "Meet the Midwives" open house thingy tonight and hospital tour then our last Bradley Method class on Monday night.  But other than preparing myself, the only thing we've done is clean our house. We have 0 baby gear in our house yet. It is still all at my parents. I'm thinking after Thanksgiving we'll bring it over and start putting things together. I honestly feel in no hurry and just want to be lazy/enjoy the quiet while we have it. Actually, I really just want to decorate for Christmas but I'm trying to wait as close to Thanksgiving as I can...then we'll worry about baby stuff. Lol

I'm actually asking that today. I'm feeling a little nervous but the Midwife assures me that after one vbac your chance of success at another one is high. I think they'll let me go a little over due, and try natural induction methods first instead of a hospital induction. I'm update a little later. I'm waiting to be seen now

Nothing really to prepare for now so I just keep telling myself May is a long ways away.  With DS, I was ready by 34 weeks then I was bored to death. 

Just be careful, because I was saying that to myself too. And then it was October and I had like nothing done lmao.

Okay ladies. She went ahead and checked me today since I was already having the gbs test. I'm 2cm and 50%effaced. Although I know it means nothing I'm relieved that my body is at least preparing. Since I'm trying for another vbac the Midwife said they won't induce but she doesn't think I'll go to 40 weeks anyway. Of course she can't predict but I still got a little excited

What, you don't remember all of the details of my pregnancy?? This baby is a girl! And btw today I bought her your daughter's namesake diaper.
