Does anyone remember what my husband asked me to do today? He said it on his way out the door, but I was already pretending to be home alone at that point so I wasn't listening to him. If I call and ask him to remind me, he'll know I wasn't listening.
Wow today is rough, I'd say I'm holding out for 5, but it's more like counting down for work to be done and bedtime so I can veg out, catch up on TV (I missed TWD, but didn't have enough self control to not read the spoilers), and go to bed early! The only bright spot in my day is this box of chocolate I got while home from an incredible place called The Chocolate Tree. I want to eat it ALL right now, but also want it to last... FWP!
I made broccoli cheese soup last night. It's so good in the Fall!
My work soda vending machines just installed a credit card reader. This is bad news for me but good news for Coke because the only thing that kept me from buying one some days was not having any cash.
So I just got a call from my ob's office. My dr is now on early mat leave >.< So they changed me to a midwife? I don't know how to feel about this. I've been sitting, waiting for a call back from the nurse after calling this morning about this headache and cramping, maybe that's why I haven't gotten a call back? I dunno, now I feel lost lol

Oh that's stressful! I'd probably call back and remind them that you're still waiting to talk to someone.
I had to call my doctor today too and I'm also waiting for a call back. My doctor is interviewing residents all day. Well, the residents can wait! Call me back, lady! Unless they are 32 weeks pregnant and dizzy, I get priority! (I'm jk - but for reals, call me.)
DH is no longer awesome. I decided to organize the bathroom closet ...I asked him to put something on the top shelf for me and he decided to build another shelf - that was two hours ago and now my whole day has been postponed because I asked him for a simple favor. I should really know better.
I need to go to kohls tonight to get a new cutting board (I broke our expensive one yesterday. Just by dropping it on the floor it snapped in half! Grrr)
Im also getting a xmas stocking for baby girl. We all have matching stocking from kohls and I figure I better grab her one before they discontinue them or something.
I told my co-worker that I was dizzy and he told me to eat some chocolate. So I did.
Then my boss called and I told him I may have to leave if my doctor wants me to come in to the office due to the dizziness. He just emailed me and wrote "eat some chocolate." So I did.
The funny thing is that this morning, the doctor told me the dizziness is not blood sugar related since I still get dizzy after I eat, but I'm eating all the chocolate anyway.
DH told me to eat a banana and I was like, "no thanks."

@luckylady18 - o no! sending you good thoughts and hugs...hoping they figure out what is wrong quickly!
rayna912 that is not okay. I'd be really pissed if they switched me to a midwife and not a doctor without asking if thats okay with you. No disrespect to midwifes I happen to like the one at our hospital but I would also want a doctor available
LuckyPenny1231 I did the same thing! Ordered matching stockings and got one for Jack "just incase" they discontinue....its a class Pottery Barn one that is there every year but whatevs its a good excuse
@rayna912 I'm curious, is there a reason you don't want to use a midwife?
If you prefer to have an OB rather than a midwife, your doctor's office should respect your wishes. I would hope that your comfort is their top priority because it should be.
My LO is going crazy in there. Yesterday I got a great shot of him moving around and I wasn't sure if I wanted to cry/laugh or puke. It is soooooo amazing that I have a human being in my belly!!!
Just got back from my OB/MFM appt. I'm starting to dilate and she couldn't do a ffn because I had a transvaginal u/s. I go back tomorrow for the ffn but if it's positive she's going to admit me for the steroid shots I know women can walk around for weeks dilated but this is just not the news I wanted today.
@grumpycat88 - ughhhhhhh. I am so so sorry. If it helps ease your mind at all (I know, I know... it doesn't) I'm already a few cm dilated, effaced, short cervix (along with soft and funneling), positive fFn (a few days ago) and still hanging. By a thread, but hanging! So hard to get shitty news, I'm sorry. It's scary. My PM's are always open if you need someone who understands. *hugs*

It's not that I prefer one to the other, I just had never thought about using a midwife. I used an ob for my first, but I also had complications, so I just never really thought of it as an option. It's just the fact that that it was so sudden I think. I didn't even realize my dr was pregnant until 2 weeks ago.
I'm more upset at the fact that I can get no one from either office to call me back about what's going on... I've now added nausea and vomiting when I try to eat food to my list, so I just really wish they would call me back.

@peggels24, this is my life. I try to ask DH to do a very simple thing, and he makes a project out of it. A lot of times, I just want to say, "nevermind!" I guess the good side is that he's being helpful and doing things to make our house better, but I don't always appreciate when my ten second ask ("please put this on the shelf") becomes a multi-hour project.
@peggels24 and @Maebb This is totally my DH too.. I LOVE that he's so handy... However, sometimes he will spend hours trying to fix something that I would rather just replace (or something that doesn't really need to be fixed in the first place)!
@MusicFanatic sorry to hear about your +fFn, hope it was a false positive and your little girl continues to stay put. How did your u/s go yesterday? (Maybe you already posted and I just missed it...).
@maebb and @Edvent For 3 hours, I kicked myself because if I had just gone and brought the stepstool into the bathroom, I would have been done forever ago. LOL. AH regardless - the project is now finished and I am showered and making dinner.
Sorry for all the ladies who aren't feeling well and/or having complications!
My hubby is still sick and had a follow up appt today, he's going to be home sick for at least a couple more days. Then my niece has had a lingering cough for the last couple weeks, which I thought was related to some nasal congestion from the weather change. I took her to the pedi this morning. It turns out she has bad asthma. They had to give her two breathing treatments there in the office before they felt safe to let her leave, and she has 3 more treatments here at home today, plus she has to take an oral bronchial dilator and get rechecked tomorrow morning before she can go back to school.
I feel terrible that I didn't realize how sick she was. Bad aunt/mommy. ;( But I swear she runs around like there's nothing wrong! She just had a cough.

@Edvent - nah, I didn't post. It went well, thanks! She's still averaging about 1 pound heavier than "average" and they estimated 5lbs 10oz @-) Still thriving and growing each week. And I really really hope they're semi close to their estimates!

@luckylady18 I hope everything's okay! Sending you good thoughts and hugs. Please keep us updated!
@grumpycat88 I hope you get good results tomorrow. FX!! Sending you good thoughts and hugs too.
@rayna912 I'm sorry that you're not feeling well. I hope your doctor gets back to you soon so you can figure all this stuff out.
@grumpycat88 sending you all the creepy Internet hugs you can handle. Hopefully fFn is negative but even if it's not, you'll get through it and we're 100% here for you. I think @MusicFanatic had a positive fFn earlier in pregnancy and it turned out to be nothing? Let us know what, if anything, you need tomorrow.
Correct I had a positive the very first bout of preterm labor I had and they did steroids in case she came within two weeks. And that was over a month ago. Then my next was negative. And this weeks was positive again. Negative is obviously the best because it means highly unlikely to deliver within a few weeks. But the positives can absolutely be false. It doesn't mean you will deliver, it just means your chances are increased. It's kind of a crap shot test. A positive feels scary to get, but doesn't necessarily mean anything (although it can- but we don't hope for that!).

Hi all. After almost 2 hours of waiting in the waiting room, I got called in. Now I'm in triage all gowned up and waiting for someone to come do something. I'm very frustrated and uncomfortable. Haven't had a dizzy spell in a while but I do have cramps and swelling. No idea what's going on. Hoping its nothing.
