Not really a typical post, but I just had to share. Today I went to St. Jude children's Research Hospital for work and took a tour and met some of the children. I honestly can't fathom what those families and children are going through. I don't know how they manage to smile through all the pain... they're so young. I am always so thankful for my beautiful healthy happy daughter, but what I saw today reminded me to cherish every single moment. I'm sorry for the random post, but I know some of you ladies would like it

DH and G got into a car accident but both came out just fine. We did not need the hospital. So thankful for my guys.

Definitely gave Alexa an extra squeeze. I also want to say that St Jude's does some amazing things. It's one of my favorite organizations to donate to. I cannot imagine having to face any of what those poor babies have to face, and to be their parents, so helpless, it's beyond my comprehension.

I know... it's so sad to see those families but it's great to know that there are organizations like these which help them through their pain.

I was also going to post something like this, 7 weeks ago one of my best friend's little brother passed away, he was 24 years-old, just as my own little brother. He was young, healthy, intelligent, a great student... after a marathon (not even a long one) his heart just stopped, on the spot... there was nothing anybody couold have done to prevent it, he was gone just like that. 

I just had the opportunity to see his mother last weekend and when I told her I was very sorry, she started to cry and she opened to me, she told me to always follow my heart, she told that she was a career woman but at some point her heart told her to stay at home, and she did... she told me "now I have no regrets, I was always there for him, I used our time together the better I could"... she also said she was not telling me that every mom should be a SAHM, she only said that it's important to follow your heart even if it's irrational, because at some point, all you have is memories...

I felt this same way last year when I was taking DD to Boston Children's for her hips. I felt so sad for the poor kids in the hospital and their families.

I was Philanthropy chair for my sorority and St. Jude was our charity. We had a great tour of St. Jude, it's a fabulous place! We sponsored an edowment for their teen room.

@Stina2012 for non-americans, sororities are just group of queen Bs treating every body else like shit all the time... (yes, thank you Hollywood)... it's so nice to hear from the other side of the coin I bet it was super cool to be a Philanthropy chair

Yeah think more Bridesmaids than Legally Blonde and that'd be my group.
