We have a 7 year old, Olivia Hope and a 3 year old Avery Grace and are TTC #3. Our boy name has always been Carter Bryant. This will be our last baby and Am thinking of using Carter regardless, specifically Carter Faith for a girl. Thoughts?
My opinion is that "unisex" is one of the most misused words in the English language. Carter suits a girl like Olivia suits a boy. If it has meaning to you, use it as a MN for a girl if you must. If not, then let it go already. It is not a nice name for a girl.

I like last names as first names on girls, if there is a family connection. If Carter is a family name, I have no problems using it on a girl. If you just picked it with no connection to your family whatsoever, I'd reconsider using Stella. On the other hand, Faith makes a lovely first name and Faith Carter can work on a girl.
I dislike Stella, a lot. I actually think Carter could work for a girl. The new "boy as a girl's name" is quite popular now. Ex: Wyatt for Ashton's baby. Therefore, Carter might be popular for a girl in 5 years, so you could start the "Carter for a girl" trend.
Re: Unisex Name Opinion
Definitely a boy name.
Name your dog carter!
Stella is great.
