Has anyone else been diagnosed having PUPPS?? I was today and im miserable!! Its soo itchy and my rash is all over now. My doctor gave me some meds but I didnt know if anyone else had a helpful hint to stay comfortable!! Thanks
My sister swore by Aveeno oatmeal baths when she had it. It's a little packet that you dump into the bathwater. I think it's technically marketed to babies, so if you can't find it, you might want to check in that area. Good luck!
I was diagnosed about 2 months ago. Went to the hospital with hives. I understand your misery. I was given a topical cortisone cream that def helped. I take benadryl at night as well. Someone from my BMB who also had it suggest grandpa's pine tar soap and that helps too. I can't use the aveeno oatmeal bath. I have bladder and kidney issues and baths especially with anything in them make you very susceptible to UTI's. Be very careful when taking baths. Aveeno does make an oatmeal bodywash now that you can use in the shower. That may help. Good Luck!
I had PUPPS with my daughter and I was MISERABLE... I really couldn't find any true relief, but as soon as I had her, it was gone. Benadryl, and cortisone cream helped minimally. I scratched my feet raw it was so bad. Sorry you are dealing with that
Thank yall so much!!!!! I got the oatmeal bath and will try that tonight!!!! Im going crazy!!!!! So sorry you all had it as well but nice to know I am not alone!!!!
I had it very bad with my first. Unfortunately my dr wouldn't give me anything for it. So I took cool oatmeal baths every night, two benedryl to sleep. I used any lotion with oatmeal in it during the day, and a ton of hydrocortisone when I went to sleep. I was miserable for a month before she came. And I had a very rare form that didn't go away completely until my daughter weaned. I've read that grandpas pine tar soap helps, and I've also read that drinking v8 juice also helps. I would suggest seeing a dermatologist as they can give you what you need for relief that is also safe for baby. I'm sorry you have PUPPPS.
