Still waiting... *loss mentioned*

Okay, so as many of you know I had a D&C recently.  I had the D&C on October 17th and I have yet to ovulate.  Not even close to it.  We're currently not trying, but it's driving me crazy that I'm on CD 25 and still have yet to have ovulation.  Based on the way I'm feeling I really don't think I'm going to even have AF any time soon either.  I'm really hoping this isn't going to be one of my old 73 day cycles like I had before finally getting my periods back on track before the D&C.  Has any one had any experience with this?  Any ideas for what is going on with my body or hormones or something???  TTTC is already extremely irritating, but not even having hope of my cycle returning after my devastating loss is so aggravating!

I don't have any advice, but wanted to say that you have been in my thoughts and prayers. I hope things get back on track soon. I can understand where you are coming from with wishing your cycle and O were back to normal.  It's been over 3 years since I have had AF or O. I'll be watching for your updates!

After my D&C my doctor told me not to worry until 6 weeks had passed without a period. Did you track your beta back to 0? It may just take your body time to heal. If it is really bothering you I would call your doctor and get their opinion. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I hope things get back to "normal" for you soon.

@dendylouwho Thank you for sharing your experience and I am so sorry for your losses.  

I have not tracked my hcg because honestly at the time this whole thing was so painful and I just wanted to pretend like none of it had ever happened, so I wasn't tracking a thing.  I started to track ovulation with OPK's, cf, and checking my cervix about a 2 weeks after the D&C and so far nada.  I'm honestly not too stressed about it, I just wanted to know if any one else had experience with this so maybe I could know what to expect.  Thanks ladies for keeping me in your prayers.  I'm definitely feeling more sane and in control which is so refreshing.  I pray for all of you every morning and that one day soon you will all get your bfp's and have H&H pregnancies.  Much love to all (HUGS)

I O'd on CD 5 - too bad we can't somehow combine forces and average ourselves out.

In any case, I know nothing, but who knows how long it takes your body to recover.  Maybe try calling your doc?  or TTCAL like someone suggested.  

I hope it happens soon - you've been through enough already, the least your body can do now is cooperate a bit!

So post-loss cycles are really whacky. Before my loss I had pretty consistent 28 day cycles. Since then (8 months) they have been a bit unpredictable (though temping helps) ranging from 14 days to 32 days. Even my LP has varied a bit. As I have gotten further along they are regulating again, but even PMS symptoms are now different. It can be really frustrating. PPs are right, 6 weeks is the average length of time to have AF reappear. You should follow up with your doctor at that point if it hasn't returned, but they may not do anything until it has been 60 days.

After-loss cycles can be really screwy.

I didn't have a D&C, but after my surgery, my doctor told me it could take 6 weeks or longer for my period to show up. I was lucky and my period showed up about 2.5 weeks later, so my assumption is that I didn't ovulate.

I don't have any advice but wanted to send support.  Hopefully AF arrives.  Sorry you are going through such a rough time.

I'm so sorry. That sounds so frustrating. I hope you O or get AF in a timely manner!!
