Are we nuts? 20 hour drive with DS

We are thinking about a trip to Florida, end of March, driving from PA to Sarasota, it's about 19 hours. The plan is to leave around 6 PM, in hopes that DS falls asleep around 8- 9 and can make it through the night.

If you've done a long trip, how did LO do?  Tips?

I have only done a 5 hour car ride with Wesley, but I did leave right before bedtime and he slept the whole way.  Good luck!

I'm so up in the air about this, we went to NC last year and he did okay, but we had our niece with us and she kept him busy most of the time.  That trip we left at 6AM but he definitely got fidgety after a few hours.

    Yup!

I drive 12 hours with the boys all the time. I couldn't go any longer...

I would suggest breaking it up over 2 days like pp said if you really want to do it.

Thanks girls, it truly does sound nuts, but lots of good suggestions to get us through the drive, if we do decide to do it!

    Thanks!
