***Warning....There's a BFP mention at the end of the post. If you are having a sensitive day you might want to scroll past it***

Welcome to the TTCAL March Check in. If you had a March EDD or loss date, no matter which year, you are welcome to join. If you haven't already participated in a check in, please post an intro and tell us a bit about yourself and why you are here. Re: *~*~Our March Memories Check-in*~*~

  • Thanks for the check in @Cheetara2!

    My appointment went well.  My doctor presented my case at the IVF meeting the practice has every Thursday and all of the doctors were in agreement that with my history (2 miscarriages, 3 unsuccessful IUIs, and brown fluid in my ute that I most likely have a leak from my c-section scar not being closed off and I am a good candidate for the surgery.  So in the next couple of weeks I’ll be scheduled for an out patient surgery where they will scrape around my c-section scar to remove tissue and then cauterize the scar to insure it is closed off.  I’ll have to wait one cycle and then we can start prep for another FET and hopefully the fluid will be gone!!  Hopefully I'll find out my surgery date tomorrow.

    So right now I need to focus on finishing the semester of my grad program and try to avoid gaining another 10lbs during the holidays!

    ((hugs)) to everyone who needs them!

  • Thank you @Cheetara2 for organizing the check in.

    FTM glad to hear they have a plan and hopefully you can get your date soon. Do your best to sit back and enjoy the holidays! Not gaining weight is the hardest part. I fail miserably every year. :x I love food! :x

    I do believe I am set up to O. EWCM as of this afternoon and I held my pee for the past three hours to try and get a positive OPK. This mornings was negative, but I also have been using the restroom every hour and half because I've upped my water intake. Either way cervical position, and CM say things are moving in the right direction. Forget those OPKs.

    I hope everyone has had a good week! ((hugs)) Ladies

    @Frenchteachermama, I hope everything moves forward smoothly from here!

    AFM,  all signs seem to be pointing to O soon, though it seems really soon after my last m/c but I guess that's a good thing?  The sooner AF shows up, the sooner we can burn the bench... so...  My herbs still haven't arrived yet though, so now I'm worried they got lost in the mail.  :/ ah well...

    Have a good week, ladies!

    Umm...  The last few years have certainly had their downfalls, but I've liked late 20s/early 30s pretty well

    @Cheetara2 - thanks for asking. We didn't get to go - we've had over three feet of snow since last week, and the road isn't accessible right now. Once there's a little more snow, we will be able to get there on snowmobile, but now it's at that awkward phase. I'm 3DPO now, and cautiously optimistic. Our timing was good, I just need it to stick!
    @kcrkcs - a horse buying trip sounds like such a great way to spend time!

     QOTW: honestly, I'd like the body I had two years ago. I was on my game with working out, and though the number on the scale was high, it was because of the muscle and not fat. I was rocking an hourglass figure and about 5lbs away from my ultimate goal. Broken equipment and a lack of gym facilities have been my downfall.
  • @Cheetara2‌ - thanks for the check in! How are you doing?

    @Frenchteachermama‌ - I'm glad all the doctors agreed with your treatment plan. FX for you that your surgery goes off without a hitch. GL!

    @uromys - I hope you O soon!

    @kcrkcs‌ - glad you're enjoying your trip. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal for you.

    @lycih‌ - hope you O soon. One step closer to burning that bench!

    @northernkhaleesi‌ - FX for you!

    AFM, my 2ww ended on Sunday when AF arrived. I was bummed but I'm trying to make the best of it because MH and I are on vacation in California, so I'm drinking all the wine because I can. I'm also enjoying a break from temping while AF is in town. Thinking about trying vag temping this cycle. Hoping for more consistent temps and better luck this cycle.

    QOTW - Despite my loss this year I've lost weight and physically feel the best I have in a really long time.

  • @kcrkcs Your trip sounds nice. Got to love that it's on someone else's dime, but I'm like you. I never take things like that for all they are worth. Hope you had fun!

    @lycih I O'ed very soon post loss. Hope you can burn the bench soon!

    @northernkhaleesi‌ Almost there! Keep up the good work.

    @ckt181 Enjoy the rest of your trip! Love that wine!

    QOTW: If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be? Why? I forgot to add this. I'm happy and my age currently. Financially things are tighter then ever but physically and spiritually I've never been happier. I'm more fit then I was pre-wedding and am really enjoying our healthier life style. Some days I do miss the care free teenage years, but DH and I were home owners by 20 so the shenanigans didn't last long.

  • Hello!  This week has been very interesting for me.  This weekend I took my wedding ring set off and put it on my nightstand when I went to bed.  Then when I woke up in the morning, they were gone!  We are thinking maybe our dogs are the culprit but we can't find them anywhere  :((

    As far as my cycle yesterday I was on CD 20 and AF came!!! This is very unusual for me.  I have always had 26 day cycles.  But since the MC it has been a little bit funky.  The first one being 28 days, the next 24 days, and this one now 20 days.  Is this normal?  I assume it might take a little bit to get back to normal but should I be calling my obgyn?  Maybe the stress of losing my rings and then some extended family issues was the cause, but usually stress doesn't affect my cycle.  Anyways, I think DH and I are going to crack open a big bottle of wine tonight and eat super unhealthy. :)

    Have a great week everyone!!!

  • Thank you for the check in @Cheetara2‌. We just got back from a long overdue family vacation, and it was a nice break. Back home now, getting ready to head back to work tomorrow. I'm still struggling, but have focused on eating healthy and getting into shape prior to my surgery next Monday (5 weeks today!). Easier said than done, since on my first cardio workout I ended up on the ground in pain :( ugh. Low impact it is...

  • @Frenchteachermama‌ , I'm waiting for outpatient surgery as well. It felt like such a relief to have a plan, but now I'm in a fair bit of pain and wish it was just all over with. Mine is scheduled for 5 weeks from today. Hope you get your date soon!

  • @Cheetara2‌ - thank you for the check in! I am still here. Life has been crazy busy (I travel about 85% of the year for work) and I'm in the throws of the last month of wedding planning. I've been lurking a lot but not posting as much. Work continues to be busy but hopefully I can get back on the board more frequently.

    Take care ladies!

  • Hi ladies! I did an intro to the board a few weeks ago, but haven't gotten to do so on the March thread. I was diagnosed with a BO in August. My EDD was March 17. I am feeling ok, though I have a horrible habit of checking on my old board (I know) and the dreams of what could have been seem that much harder. I guess it's kind of a coping mechanism in a harmful/helpful way. I am on CD 43 and still waiting for my first cycle, so I'm definitely on edge.

    QOTW: If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be? Why?
    I don't know yet that I want to stay anywhere. At 27, I haven't had a chance to experience so much, so I don't want to count that out yet. At the same time, I dream of my college days and wish for the "problems" I had then.
