June 2015 Moms

Who else is ready to be DONE with the first trimester?

I've gotten off pretty easily in the symptoms department...mainly just bad heartburn, low energy, and on/off mild nausea. But, I don't really feel like myself and I'm ready to tell people why! Especially when some of my friends are pregnant and posting their exciting updates on Facebook or whatever and I want to do that too!

I was super anxious about miscarriages over the last few weeks but thank god, that awful feeling seems to have gone away. My dr did some bloodwork to measure my HCG and then also did an ultrasound last week & I saw the heartbeat and they said everything looked great, which I think helped me to realize that this was all real. I'm just ready for the risk to be really low so I dont even have to think about it.

Here's to hoping the next five weeks go by quickly!

Re: Who else is ready to be DONE with the first trimester?

  • Oh my god yes. I am so ready. I feel like complete garbage and have for a few weeks. I'm ready to feel human again!

  • Preach!!! I am hating this!!!!! I can't fathom people who say they love being pregnant. Granted I was diagnosed with hyperemesis so I had it pretty rough. This is my first so I am ready to experience all the happiness and excitement the second trimester is supposed to bring. We're almost there! We can do it!!
  • *raises hand* I'm definitely ready to move the show along. This is my third, and a surprise at that, so it's not exactly something I was looking forward to...and I've felt pretty yucky up until about a week ago. Hoping I'm nearly out of the woods for gross nausea etc now!

  • I'm just ready to stop being so tired!! Lol And to start seeing my tummy grow. I'm already kind of fluffy, so even though I'm 10 weeks today I still don't see any type of baby bump. I want a baby bump!!!!!!!!! Lol
  • I'm ready for ALL of it to be over. I feel a little guilty, like I should be cherishing it as this is likely our last pregnancy, but I really, really, really hate it. I find myself praying the days away so it can just be June already... which makes me sad because I feel like I can't even be fully present with my boys who don't understand why mommy is so "off".

  • Exactly this. I want to wake up tomorrow and be 14 weeks and nausea free. And I want the 2nd tri to go as slowly as possible, because that 3rd tri is no joke either.

  • I tell my husband every day that I want to fast forward this whole month. I'm SO excited to be pregnant but most days all I want to do is sleep so I'm not aware of how miserable I am lol. I'm ready to get this show on the road and really be able to enjoy this experience!
  • Yup! I'm hating the 1st trimester. All I do is sleep And generally feel awful! This is my second pregnancy and last time it was just as rough in the beginning. Can't wait to get this part over with as I loved being pregnant in the 2nd/3rd trimesters :) well for the most part lol
  • Same here.  I too have gotten off pretty ease in the symptoms department. We just told our one friend who is also pregnant and a little further along than us and she was so thrilled that we can't wait to tell everyone else!!! I'm 11 weeks tomorrow so 1 more week then I get that 12 week U/S!!! I can't wait

I wish I got a 12 week ultrasound! My doctor does minimal ultrasounds so my first one was at 7 weeks and my next one is around 16-20.
  • Oh yeah, definitely ready.  I had to go to the grocery store today... yuck... everything looked disgusting.  Lets move this thing along already!

And I'm with you @mamahawk12 , I feel the same way with my DS right now.

  • Yep, like @mamahawk12, this is my last time being pregnant. And I'm still wishing I could wake up tomorrow and it be Christmas. I hate the 1st trimester.

  • I'm ready! Please nausea go away!
  • I hear ya!! My symptoms have been mild overall but emotionally I do not feel like myself! It's not only wearing me out more but puts me in a bad mood. I guess it's just all the hormones and I'm not handling it well... I usually have zero PMS. Ugh.
  • Oooh yeah. Hyperemesis diagnosis at week 6, I'm just hoping something gives and it goes away so that I can enjoy some of this pregnancy
  • Cried like an ass today in my therapist's office about how much I've hated this trimester. I feel like the "old me" has left the building and my body has been taken over by a fat, lazy hungover college student. Eff this.

  • Talk about a slow first trimester, I found out about as soon as you could possibly could and I'm finally having my first appointment tomorrow and hopefully my first ultrasound. I've lucked out again with hardly any symptoms but I'm just ready to show and feel my little peanut move :)
  • Yes! Yes! Yes! I have cried so many times in the past 2 weeks because I am so tired of feeling like crap all the time. The all day nausea and total disgust of food most of the time has me dragging my feet on my good days. I almost feel like I need a therapist because of how this affecting my mental state. At least with DD I could eat carbs (granted I gained a crap load of weight because of it) but this is so much worse. I really hate being pregnant but I do live for the feeling of baby moving. I feel that I need my ultrasound on Wednesday just to see baby and have some reminder that I am going through this for a reason. Hats off to you ladies dealing with hyperemesis! I can't imagine what you're going through.

  • I can't go into my kitchen without gagging anymore and we keep it clean. My husband doesn't smell anything. I'm exhausted and feel like I'm on the verge or vomiting 24/7. I'm on week 9 come on weeks 12!
  • Yes. Is it Christmas yet?!
  • Right there with you. This is not awesome. I am also looking forward to Christmas for this reason.

  • ALMOST THERE! I am just so hopeful that it's true I'll feel better in the 2nd tri.
  • Right there with you! I have been nauseous nonstop at work and it's making concentrating on my job impossible! My husband has been awesome though, if something actually sounds good to me to eat, (rare!) he'll go get it. Very thankful for him. I just keep telling myself it's worth it :(
  • I loved being pregnant with my first, two but now I'm fatter and 10 years older so pregnancy isn't being very kind this go around.. I'm ready for June to come so I can deliver this turd! After this, I'm done! Tubes will be tied!
  • I could not agree more! I hate worrying about miscarrying and i hate having to lie and find excuses to pass on booze and sushi dates. I just want to scream from the top of my lungs "I'M PREGNANT". I've been shamefully listening to a lot of Christmas music in an effort to will Decemeber to be here quickly hahaha
  • Me me me me me! I have had 3 first trimester miscarriages in the last year, so I am SOOOO ready to be done with this high risk part of pregnancy. I want to get huge and be able to share my news with people, rather than being anxious all the time and nobody knowing.

  • Definitely pumped about worrying less!
  • I caaannnooot waaaiiittt!  I'm counting the minutes, the hours, the days.  Feeling sick 24/7, feeling exhausted, acne, every smell and food grossing me out, no sex drive, heartburn... This is tough!  I honestly can't even remember what it felt like to work out, eat real meals, and just feel good going about my daily life.  Yes, being pregnant is a blessing; but feeling this way is so distracting it's hard to think about much else.

Tick tock!!! I'm 8 weeks now and praying things really do get better in the 2nd tri, which is what people keep telling me.  It's just hard to imagine...

    We can do it ladies!
  • Me. I'm ready for the next trimester . Now
