Trouble TTC

Baseline U/S Check-In

i had my first Baseline check-In today, they said my eggs, ovaries, and uterus look normal. I also had at least ten vials of blood taken for blood work today. I guess this is something I'll need to get used to. I'll be checking in once lab results are given. I also have my saline U/S Scheduled for next week.

Re: Baseline U/S Check-In

  • Good luck! All I have to say is have someone go with you to the saline U/S if at all possible and take a pain reliever before. m doctor told me to mild cramping discomfort but I blacked out and was in a ton of pain.

  • I didn't take anybody with me and the saline u/s was easy peasey compared to the HSG. But I do agree take a pain reliever before. Good luck!

  • @lemonliz‌ I apologize for the confusion. I'll remember that for next time. @CaitOst21‌ I have had multiple colposcopies and a LEEP procedure when I was younger. I had the colposcopies done on my own and no one there with me. If I can handle that I can handle anything. DH started a new job a month ago and can't be asking time off for this stuff yet. @RazzyRN‌ I plan on taking Advil. They told me I can take a couple an hour before it. The RE and OB both don't want to do an HSG. I've asked for one.
  • I think it's odd they don't want to do an HSG, that's the only way to tell if your tubes are blocked or not. Did they give you a rational for that?

  • @hrushka nope, nothing unexpected and everything was normal. It really just depends on the person. There was previous post on this topic a few weeks back and the amount of pain and discomfort ranged greatly from person to person. I thought it was would be easy!

  • They said they can see if they're blocked using other tests and that an HSG is too painful to go through?..... I don't know that is what they've said to me. I've asked multiple doctors to have one conducted but they won't. I'm scared to death!! I was at work and got a voicemail from the RE nurse. She was calling about couple labs that were already completed. It must be bad news if she's calling me already, I'm about to have a heart attack and will be calling the moment those phone lines open up there at 8 AM.
