No Pain No Gain - Right?

So ER went forward yesterday.  I was in OR for over an hour - they retrieved 29 eggs.  After the procedure, I could barely walk due to the pain/discomfort in my abdomen.  My brother called me the human pin-cushion (pretty good description as I'm sure many of you would agree).  Percocet didn't even help that much.  Feeling a little better today and steering clear of the Percocet - still called out of work though to try to heal a little more. 

For comparison on my end, in 2011 they retrieved 16 eggs, used ICSI,  and 8 embryos made it to transfer (2) and freeze (6).  Recent SA for DH was a lot better than his SA in 2011.  No ICSI this time.  The embryologist called and 22 of the eggs fertilized! 

I am feeling a lot more hopeful now - that even if this fresh transfer doesn't work, we should have some quality embryos left to freeze.  With hope, there is a little less stress on my end.  [Oh - and last week's fight with my RE about continuing meds was worth it --> I'm not a crazy b**ch - I was right --> ha ha]

    Retrieval is always painful for me too, hopefully you are feeling much better tomorrow. Good luck with your transfer.

    Sorry about such a painful ER. What an amazing number of embryos. Are you doing a 3 or 5DT? GL.

    Wow, that's a lot of eggs!! I hope you are feeling better and very glad you are feeling more hopeful - I think that helps a lot! More positive thoughts coming your way!

    @MoFree - my RE gives you an appointment for a 3 day transfer but the embryologist calls you that morning to tell you whether you are going forward than or at 5 days.  Embryologist is guessing I will be a 5 day transfer because I was back in 2011.
