Holy Sciatica!

Anyone else get crazy sciatica pain before AF shows?  I usually have back pain in the week prior to AF rearing her ugly head, but my sciatica is not usually this bad.  The left side has been killing me since yesterday.  Uggggh.

ugh, not sciatica but I do get bad muscle aches lower back.  Best wishes!

No, but I suffered from severe sciatic pain for years before I had a double fusion Feb 2013.  Where in your back is the pain and here does it end at?  You may want to ice your lower back to relieve inflammatuion.  Ice is still my best friend.

@ABabyMaybe4us - pain starts right at the sciatic region on the left side and goes all the way down to my left foot.  I should go get an ice pack and put it back there today.  Thanks for the info.

I do! It's very painful! Luckily it doesn't happen every cycle for me. Hope you feel better!

Also no to sciatica pain here but I do get horrible lower back pain before AF. I can't imagine the pain going all the way down to my foot. Hope the ice helps!

Weird, yet effective, treatment: sit on a golf ball (or other small, hard ball). Roll it on the sciatic nerve - you'll want to cry when you hit it, but it will effectively push it back in place and offer you some relief. A friend told me this years ago, and it's been my go to ever since.
