Hey guys! I am actually on time to to post today! 

I started stims on Saturday. My family was in town and they do not know we are starting IVF right now and think we will be doing IVF this summer. It was a little crazy to run around the house and start my meds in private then stash them away again. My mom and I are super close so it was very hard to not burst out and just tell her what we are doing. My stims are going good I have my first E2 check today to see how my levels are, hopefully they are right on track!

Hi Tiny Turkeys!!

Congrats to the PUPO Ladies! Fx for everyone!  ((Hugs)) to everyone!

I am finally feeling better!!  I slept a lot this weekend, which I think really helped!  I am still on Lupron.  I take my last shot on Saturday, which is replaced by the PIO shot!  I am still taking Estrace and Vivelle Patches.  I have acupuncture tonight, which I am hoping will help this lining grow! Wednesday is my first monitoring appointment, which seems forever away!  I am dying to know if my uterus is cooperating.  I have not had too many side effect except some Lupron headaches.  Last month my boobs were killing me and I could not get a good night sleep.  I am hoping this is just a blessing because my uterus is primed and ready!! 

QOTD - My guilty pleasures are chocolate and wine!!!  Give me a book to read with my wine and chocolate and I am a happy girl!  I also love some TV!  I am a huge Grey's Anatomy and Criminal Minds fan.

Yay I've finally moved out of the "waiting to cycle" section of the group! It was getting lonely there being the only name left. Started stimming last night, and now I have a migraine. I don't know if it's an AF migraine since I always get those, or because of the stims because it started within an hour or so of doing it. I really hope this migraine doesn't stick around much longer. I'm at work right now and I need to survive the shift!

I had a faint faint line yesterday. This morning was slightly darker, but still faint. I'm nervous to call it because I hd a cp last month. I go for betas on Wednesday. But I am happy today.

After the weekend from hell, I am finally feeling a lot better.  I had my IVIG on Friday (and met up with @RunCC37!) and all was going well.  My doppler u/s showed much improved blood flow.  My follicles were all still very small, but my doc warned me that I would need to stim longer with my EPP protocol.  My infusion went smoothly and I thought all was going well.  I woke up Saturday morning feeling like I had the worst hangover ever.  I took some tylenol drank some water and went back to bed.  When I woke up again it had progressed to mega migrane status.  It got so bad that I made my husband call the on call number and talk to Dr. KK.  The only thing she told me was to keep hydrating, take tylenol but don't over do it since it is bad for the liver, and keep taking benadryl.  I ended up having the headache all day and started running fever.  Sometime that evening the headache subsided some and my fever broke overnight.  I'm not sure if I just didn't hydrate enough, or if I was infused too quickly, or a combination of the two. 

Today is my first monitoring appointment with my RE.  I had my blood work done and am just waiting for my u/s in 45 minutes.  I also need to schedule my blood draw for my follow up labs with Dr. KK and figure out how much more meds I need to order.  This ought to be a fun week!

QOTD:  My favorite guilty pleasure is either TV (my favorite shows right now are Chicago Fire and Chicago PD, which is having a big crossover episode this week!) or smutty romance novels.

At this point I am confused.  Thursday I had "several" 8-13 follies and my estradiol was 559.  I went in Saturday and has 9 follies ranging 13-15, but after several attempts they gave up on drawing my estradiol level.   Sunday I had 12 follies between 10-21 with only 3 being >17.  So, when I left I was told I would probably trigger Monday and have ER Wednesday.  My estradiol came back at 2624 so I've been bumped up.  I triggered last night and have ER Tuesday, which is my birthday.  I guess I'm confused as to why my follies are still fairly small, but my estradiol jumped so high.  For IVF #1, I had 18 follies with 6>17 and estradiol was only 1616 the day of trigger.  So, should I expect fewer eggs this time since my follicle count is lower and smaller or more eggs since my estradiol is so much higher?

QOTW:  Probably a good book.  I'm also a fan of Scandal, Grey's Anatomy and sweet and salty foods.

@cwoodward777 I'mg glad your a feeling better and having fewer sideffects.  Hopefully, you are right and your uterus is primed and ready!

@SweetieShellieH  Yay for starting stims!  Hopefully the migraine won't stick around.  I had headaches pretty consistently through stimming this go around.

@Giants721  Congrats!! FX'd that it sticks.  Good luck st beta!

@NariaDreaming  I'm sure you are uncomfortable with that many follies, but hopefully it will result in nice ER and fertility numbers leading to a BFP!

@alpCRNA usually you should have 100-200 units(?) of estradiol for each mature follie, but the little ones give off some estradiol too.  It could mean that more of your eggs are in the mature range since you have higher estradiol level this time.

@NariaDreaming I can't imagine! I only had 13 above 10mm and I was so uncomfortable.

@Twinkie0612 You poor thing. Headaches are the worst and I imagine not being able to take anything was so frustrating. EPP definitely takes longer. I just did it and stimmed for 12 days compared to 8 for IVF #1.

AFM: We had our ET on Friday. I was really hoping to go to day 5, but with so few embryos, it wasn't likely anyway. We transferred two 7 cells. That felt like a bummer because we transferred two perfect 8 cells for IVF #1 and it didn't work. The doctor said 7 vs. 8 cells can be the difference of 15 minutes though. We were faced with a pretty tough decision at transfer. I asked the doc if he would transfer 3 (there was also a 6 cell) and he said he would if I promised him I would reduce if we got preg with triplets. DH and I just weren't ready to say that, so we went with 2. I have so much less hope this time than with our first try.

AFM: I went for my first monitoring and I am a little disappointed.. I have only 7 follicles so far and they are still very small.. @NariaDreaming I am one of those who would kill for anything close to your result lol. Anyway, I am trying to stay positive...

@Nowthatsalady  Congrats on being PUPO!  I can certainly understand having so much less hope for IVF #2 than IVF#1.  Hang in there, maybe this will be it despite the slightly smaller embryos.  I would have made the same decision to transfer 2 if the other option was to reduce.  I'm not sure I could handle that emotionally.

@nariadreaming, that is an incredible number of follies! I "only" ended up with 31 eggs and I was miserable. Take care of yourself!! And good luck!

AFM: I am 5dp5dt and trying desperately not to read anything into every little twing. That being said, I have had cramping on and off since Friday (of course, I have heard that PIO can cause cramping, so that is meaningless). I also woke up twice last night to pee, which I have not done since my mmc last summer (but maybe I just drank more before bed than usual). I have also not been sleeping well the last few nights, which happened after my last FET before my BFP, (but it could just be anxiety, between my FET, MIL's cancer and giving up the foster kittens for adoption, goodness knows there are legit causes of anxiety). So, as you can clearly see, despite my vow not to symptom spot, I am driving myself crazy. ;-) 

QOTD: I do not feel particularly guilty about this one, but since everyone else seems to be putting in this category, I won't argue: wine. DH and I love going wine tasting wherever we travel and have been making wine at home for just over a year now. We've made somewhere around 7 or 8 6 gallon batches so far. Of course, I hope to not be able to enjoy any for quite some time to come...ETA an important "not" that got left out. Oops.

Good Morning ladies!

I am 5dt5dpt and also trying not to read into every little thing, but I can say for sure that the nausea has been around since Saturday.  I am trying to not get my hopes up and trying to be hopeful all at the same time. 

I am just a little confused though, I had to have bloodwork done yesterday for my progesterone, it was good and the nurse said to me, so we will see you on Monday for your test. My post orders has my test for the 18th, which is Tuesday....I would be more than happy to do it on Monday.  

What is the norm for testing after a FET with a 5day?  The 18th is 13 days, I thought it would have been sooner?

Hi ladies.

AFM- didn't get a great report yesterday.  on day 8 of stims I only had 2 good looking follies...however my E2 and lining looked great (which it didn't on day 5).  So we are just having to be super hopeful that those two make it.  We are also not doing pgs anymore so if I do get KU there is still the chance that I will just have another mc.    trying so hard to be positive and hopeful.  I am just absolutely flabbergasted that I am doing so poorly even though my amh is low...i just don't see how I got KU so easily 3 times in basically a year and now I can't even produce follies.

@Lc102310, my RE makes me wait until 14dp5dt for my Beta. She does it to try to reduce the chances of false hope by testing too early and picking up CPs, I think. But it is torture! ;-)

@nariadreaming That is so crazy!! I have 14 and feel uncomfortable. I can't imagine how uncomfortable that must be. That's amazing though, congrats! 

AFM: I triggered last night! I freaked out bad. I hated giving power over to my husband to give me a shot. I have a fear of needles, so I was just a mess. I iced my butt so much that I didn't know he gave me the shot and was yelling at him to just do it already... but it was done. Ice is key apparently. My leg felt very weird after the shot and I was a bit shaky, but felt better after an hour or so. Anyone else experience that with Novarel? 

I go in for my ER at 7:30 tomorrow am. I took that day and the day after off to recover. I don't know that I will need it with just 14 follicles, but I figured it was better safe than sorry. I still feel a little concerned when I hear how many follicles other people have, but my doctor swears that everything has been "textbook perfect" with my cycle, so I just need to trust that right now.

Back from monitoring and it went well!  Pretty much all of my follicles are between 10-13mm and I had 2 less than 10.  I lost count during the u/s and had to ask the nurse to look up how many follicles I had and she said 15.  I'm not sure if that included the 2 less than 10 or not.  Either way 13-15 follicles between 10-13mm is a great cycle for me.  I go back for another u/s on Thursday and the RE estimates that my ER will be either Sunday or Monday. 

The only bad news is that my lining is only at 7.25mm which means it hasn't moved much since Friday when it was at 7mm.  My RE thinks it will probably make it to their required 8mm since I still have a few days to stim, but she wants to be on the safe side and is calling in viagra suppositories.  I am just waiting for the pharmacy to call me about my med order.

Good morning Turkeys! 

@Giants721‌ FX you are the first official BFP of the group!!! 

I have done 3 nights of follistim. Tonight I add menopur. 

I was doing a lot of heavy lifting yesterday trying to clean out our garage and organize. I started having sharp pains in my right side and was very uncomfortable. I had to stop and lay down several times. Every time I tried to start again the pain came back. How could I really be feeling this at day 3?

It makes me pissed off that my clinic doesn't start monitoring until day 5 (which will be Wednesday.) I would really like to know what's going on in there.

nowthatsalady You never know what will happen but, I definitely know how you feel about being less hopeful. I was just telling DH last night how I wish we could go back to being optimistic about all this.
NariaDreaming That is a crazy amount of follicles. I say you should complain whenever you feel like it!

I had my transfer yesterday, we transferred 1 expanding blast grade BB. The Dr also went over the quality of the remaining embryos but didn't seem too optimistic about getting many to freeze since a lot of them had a BC grade and they don't freeze anything with a C. This whole cycle I have felt like I'm just going through the motions but not all that invested which is a weird feeling when it's all you want but you can't muster up any enthusiasm. I'm pretty pessimistic about the whole cycle at this point which should be great for the TWW...

@nariadreaming Holy cow!! I cannot even imagine the discomfort that you are feeling.  Try to take it easy, and since you have sooo many follicles, be very gentle with yourself until ER. But I hope this means it’s your once and done, no more full IVFs for you, and that you growing your first, and all future siblings in one shot! If they make it, will you freeze any remaining?

@twinkie0612 So sorry to hear that you were feeling crazy bad after your transfusion.  Hopefully your BW comes back okay.  I can understand the headaches, but is fever a known side effect of what you were taking? I don’t know what you were transfused with, but that sounds like an adverse event to me.  Your Doc should be reporting it as such.

@alpCRNA I wouldn’t read too much into the specific E2 number regarding your follicles. It sounds like you have a sizable amount that are mature/close to maturing, regardless of their size. After trigger, any follicles that were close to mature will likely catch up. Try not to expect anything until you get the count after ER, that way, you don’t drive yourself crazy wondering what if.

@nowthatsalady Congrats on completing ET and being PUPO!! Remember that each transfer is a singular event, and it only takes one for a BFP.  FX for you!

@mariana81 Don’t lose hope. What day of stims are you on? I only had 8-10 measurable follicles during my whole IVF cycle, and they ended up retrieving 9 (8 mature). We definitely don’t all end up retrieving tons of eggs, but it’s quality that counts! I hope things continue to go well for you.

@spring78 I hope that the time between now and beta passes quickly for you!

@LC102310 I think it may differ by clinic, but mine always does betas 14dpp (days past procedure) so even with a 5dt I tested after 14 days. I have seen some ladies post betas as early as 8dp5dt.

@bunnybun4 I’m so sorry to hear that your follicle count is not what you had hoped for. Is this your only shot at IVF? I was a fairly poor responder during my first IVF cycle too. My RE cancelled to modify my protocol and we tried again and got much better results. Regardless, I hope that the follies you have continue to grow well!!

@carrieharry79 I think almost all triggers feel that way. Ice is KEY!! But even though the injection itself didn’t hurt for me, the soreness afterwards was pretty bad even into the next day. I hope that it starts to get better for you. And GL with your ER!!

@AngM123 definitely take it easy. Regardless of what you think you should be able to do, if your body says stop, definitely stop! J

@Sha259 flu like symptoms (fever, body aches, chills, fatigue) are common side effects of IVIG and I think headaches aren't uncommon if you are prone to them.  I did call my doc on Saturday and talked to her so she know about my side effects.  Most of the time if they slow down the infusion and make sure you stay really hydrated the side effects are much less.

@Giants721‌ that's so exciting, when was your transfer? I will pray for an even darker line tomorrow. @carrieharry79‌ good luck with your ER tomorrow morning @Spring78‌ 14 days, I would die, lol. I can barely handle the 10 days I have to wait. @Lc102310‌ my clinic does two initial beta draws. First one 8dp5dt second one 10dp5dt but they freeze the first sample and they test them both on the 10th day together to see how the numbers are rising. They call you after your second beta with results. I am cramping but I've had that since my transfer, and this morning I was exhausted and slept in as I took the day off to rest I also have some nausea today. It's hard so hard not to wonder if these are signs of something or just from the medications. Sounds like we're both gonna get our beta results on the same day 18th which seem like an eternity from now. @Spring78‌ hang in there it's torture I know. I believe I replied back to you on the old novel 8 check in. @narniadreaming wow that's a lot of follicles, hopefully the discomfort won't be too bad but awesome follicle count.

AFM - I had my baseline BW/US and started my Del Estrogen IM injects on Friday. Still feel it, and have to do it again today. Sigh, I would really love to be back on the pills and suppositories right now. I'll be on DE every 3 days and PIO daily (starting Nov 20th).

As much as they say that the FET is easier, I already feel worse than I did during either of my fresh IVF cycles. I will take multiple subq injects over daily IM injects any day. I'm really surprised so many say that the IM injects are no problem. I'm used to feeling sore after workouts, but this is not the feel good kind of sore. This is the sharp object kind of sore. I did the ice and everything. Getting the shot wasn't the problem, DH did a great job. But about 5 mins after I got so sore. I'm not as sore now, but I still feel it, and that was only after one shot! I can only imagine what I will feel like at the end of the month. ( Not good.

DH and I scheduled a Disney vacation after our loss in September. We will be going the week of Dec 14th, so I should have either a BFN or beta by then. I guess it's a good thing, so I'll at least know if I should drown my sorrows on vacation or stay away from the sushi (and pack the PIO).

We are, and Joe Morton (of Eureka and Scandal fame, if anyone knows him) is narrating the day we go!! So I'm excited for that. I'm sure it will be a great trip, either with the sushi, or with a BFP! I can only hope.

Forgot the QOTD: guilty pleasure, watching Korean dramas and variety shows, and getting the humor and jokes. All while eating Chick-Fil-A. I plan that to be my life on ET day!! :-bd

AFM I had my ET this morning! Yay!!! I'm in bed resting now. We transferred 1 perfect blast! I love having a pic too!!

Hey Turkeys!
I am just trucking along on my stims, today (day 9) I had 18-20 follicles, with most being around 16 mm. Will prob trigger tomorrow or Wed for ER Thurs or Fri. Have to get more Follistim and Ganirelix ($$$$$ boo!) but looking forward to almost being done!

QOTD: I miss wine and caffeine so much!!!! My true guilty (and unhealthy) pleasure is McDonalds French fries with a chocolate shake.

Went in for bloodwork and ultrasound yesterday. It was day 9 of injections. Still sticking with Menopur 150 and Gonal-F 225. Now we added Ganirelix 250mcg. That little shot is a beast. I think it hurts worse than the Menopur. It must be the needle since I can totally feel it going in my skin. My legs are totally starting to bruise. I look like an addict, but hopefully it will all be worth it. My E2 level came back at 1010. I got back on Tuesday to see if my ER will be on Thursday or Friday of this week.

@wcasar - How many follies are they seeing? Sorry the shots are such a bitch.

@Sha259 - I am sorry your shots have been so painful.  With the PIO shots I ice my bum down for 5ish minutes to not feel the shot.  Then DH rubs the area to spread the oil.  Lastly I use a heating pad to help it feel better.  Oh and DH warms the oil in the heating pad for a minute to make it easier to inject.  GL.

Things are going crazy around here! Our donor triggered last night and will be going in for ER tomorrow. I'm trying to get another IVIg infusion scheduled for this Friday... ugh, so many phone calls. On top of it all, I'm trying to sit down with my OB and PCP to discuss all of this mess with the Sjogren's. OB's first available is 12/4.................. mmmmmmmm. No. I need to talk to her sooner. As soon as the receptionist told me that, I was a mess of ugly crying tears. I apologized for being so emotional and explained that I'm on hormones for an IVF cycle and under a lot of stress. I hope the doctor calls me back. I am kinda freaking out over here.

It was so, very awesome to meet @Twinkie0612 on Friday! I'm so sorry that you had such a rough time with the infusion. I hope that I didn't distract you during the infusion if you needed to slow down! 

That's one good thing - I tolerated the IVIg very well. Seeing that I need it done weekly, I'm taking that good fortune all the way to the bank! Of course, now I'm running around like a crazy person trying to get a local infusion center to do this for me. On Friday. Four days away. Oh my.

Good Afternoon Turkeys!

Congrats to all the PUPO, and Goodluck to all between ER & ET. 

Had my 1st monitoring appt. today after  4 days of stimms. E2 was 1120 and had alot of follies between 13-15mm (nurse didn't say how many). RE decreases Gonal-f from 150 to 75 and added Cetrotide. Now I have to poke myself 3 times (ouch).  ER is mostly likely a week from today.

QOTD: Revenge, Scandal, Castle, and good TV. Also Chocolate.

Ladies has anyone had any palpitations? I started getting them last night and again today mainly when I'm laying down and/or sleeping! They are actually waking me up at times. Just trying to figure out what's causing them and if anyone else is getting them.

Are you on any steroids?  I am on prednisone and get them occasionally.
