EFF Breast Question

Hi ladies. My second LO was born about a week & a half ago and after the first day in the hospital we decided to EFF. With my first LO I tried to EBF and then EP because of latch issues. I stopped pumping at about 6 weeks because of supply and we EFF from then on. When I stopped pumping last time I remember that my breasts pretty much went back to normal after a few days. This time it feels like it's taking forever for them to feel normal. I'm guessing it's because I never really BF at all this time around. My nurse in the hospital said that my milk would probably come in about a week after LO arrived. So far, nothing has come in but my breasts still feel heavy and sore. For those of you who EFF right from the beginning, how long did it take for your breasts to get back to normal? Did you do anything special to help them along? The nurse suggested wearing tight sports bras (which I have been) and using cabbage leaves (which I haven't tried yet). Thanks in advance!

I EBF-ed the first four months last around and had major engorgement on days 2-3.  The cabbage really helped!  I can't figure out why it worked better than ice packs, but it did.
