POLL for 2yr olds

Around 2yrs, that is.

[Poll]

Re: POLL for 2yr olds

  • I voted no but she's a thumb-sucker.
  • DS doesn't have a paci but we just gave him one not too long ago in attempt to wean him off of thumb sucking.  It's not working...but it totally reminds me of that movie with Gwenyth Paltrow when she starts smoking in order to get off of the nicotine gum.  DS is a thumbsucking addict.  It's worse then crack.  We can tell him all day to get his thumb out of his mouth but we sound like a broken record.

  • I voted no, DS, from day one was a paci addict, but at 6 months old, he switched the paci out for his fingers. He still sucks his fingers to this day... how in the world do you break that habit?!

  • I voted yes, but its only because we had given it back to her when she was teething a couple of months ago (she had given it up, but when her last couple of teeth came in, she was chewing on everything, so we gave her a frozen paci instead...that kind of hooked her back on it)

But, this week, we've taken it away at bedtime, and we will take it away for naps, too.  So, yes she still has it at this moment, but we plan to be completely done with it VERY soon.

I always said that she wouldn't have one once she started walking...opps.  A year late on that one!

  • I voted no for Luc when he was 2.

Well, we ditched the binky at 18mos, but over Xmas he found one in his closet (yes it was clean & new) and  he popped it right in his mouth!  I was  shocked!  Apparently he will steal them from the little ones at DCPs.  I had no idea, he never ever mentions them at home!  Still, I consider him binky-free.

  • We got rid of it cold turkey at 20 months, but sometimes I wish she still had it. lol

  • yes at 20 months, but just for sleeping
  • Yes - I am beginning to think he will be the only freshman in college that still has his passy.

He screams and cries for it and I am weak.

  • DD gave up the pacifier around 3 months in favor of her thumb.  She still sucks her thumb (or sometimes her blankie now) at naptime and bedtime.
