Seeking info / reassurance after NT Scan

Hello! I'm new to the 35+ board:  I'm 35 and pregnant with my second child, due in May 2015. I got a phone call from my OB yesterday explaining that my NT Scan came back in the "positive" range (in the 100s) for Downs with a higher risk. However, my DNA testing also came back, but it showed a "low" risk for Downs. I don't want to do any further testing like amnio due to fear of miscarriage, etc. 

Trying to gather more stories / info about this.  Have any other moms had conflicting tests like this?  Everything went smoothly with the NT scan for my first child in 2010, so I don't remember if NT scans often have "false positives" like this.

It is an estimate. There is always a chance for error either by view or people. DNA usually over rules a scan. Eventually the blood test(DNA) will replace amnio, cvs , etc. maybe call your DR or Nurse on call tomorrow and ask them what they think. They might even forgot you got DNA done. Do you have follow up scan? Good luck!

NT scans have really high rates of false positives.  That's one of the reasons that I am opting out of having an NT scan... it's really not worth it for the stress.  DNA (or NIPT) is far more accurate.

Thanks to you both for your input. I'm glad I opted to do the DNA panel to balance out / give a different perspective from the NT Scan results.  Guess now I'll just wait and see what the 20 week scan shows...
