  • I've been eating healthier to do better for myself and set a good example. I do eat junky sometimes though. Especially around that special time of the month.

  • I'm eating worse.  More processed foods that is.  I used to prepare and cook ALL my meals.  Now, I just grab whatever most of the time!  A few months ago, I actually ate chips and chocolate pudding for dinner.  I would NEVER do that before baby!  In fact, there weren't any chips in the house before baby!!

  • For meals I eat/cook better, but when we go out I don't always order healthy food. Everything in moderation. I have a 3 year old and we let him have sweets, fries, occasionally chick-fil-a, etc. but again, in moderation. I have been known to stash chocolate and eat it in the bathroom during my period so I don't have to share with my big kid ;)
  • I am eating better, but not so much for an example to LO.  I think she is too young to really understand that yet, but I will definitely try to eat even better (fruits and veggies for snacks, not cookies) once she can understand more.

I'm eating better in an attempt to lose weight, and also because I am home now and have time to cook.

  • I always been a fairly healthy eater so I'm trying to keep up with it. I'm buying more fruits and veggies now because of DD so I always have on hand for her. I'm trying got healthier snacks but I love chocolate way too much!

I'm also trying to get DH to eat healthier and make better food choices for DD when she will understand.

  • Since LO and DS1, I wouldn't say much has changed. I've been eating mostly healthy for many years.
Before DD I would say that I wasn't eating very healthy. Lots of fast food.
Even after DD was born, there was still a fair bit of fast food but I did try to cook fairly healthy in between.

The last 8-10 years I've really made an effort to avoid most fast food. When we eat out I usually try to add a salad instead of fries.
DD was never into fries, so she would eat salad all the time.
DS1 wouldn't touch a leaf of lettuce with a 10 foot pole and I eat salad 4 times a week. Although he doesn't eat fries either. ;)

  • We eat homemade meals every single day. My husband is on a no-sugar challenge, so that's really helped me cut down on my sweets also. Our downfall is soda. Which I'm not letting my baby start on anytime soon. So I'm not too concerned.

That's awesome. How long is the no sugar challenge?
  • @fish8412 It started in August, a bunch of his siblings all pitched in $100, & a couple of the nephews pitched in $50. Last man standing wins. Sundays are cheat days, and all you're allowed to drink (besides your cheat day) is milk & water.

He's lost 25 lbs, and it's down to him & his 9 year old nephew. The pot is like $600, so neither of them wants to not win all that cash!

  • @bennieangel‌ the rules were REALLY stupid. Lol. Basically—no sweets, candies, desserts, pops, or juice, coffee or tea. You couldn't squeeze an orange & drink the juice. So no fruit smoothies either.

Sundays are free game. And yes, they all just did the honor system. It was funny to get all the "I'm out!" texts.

Also, it was super frustrating to see my husband drop weight like it was nothing. Stupid men & their happy go lucky metabolisms!

  • I need to eat better. Right now we eat out so often. That's definitely most of the reason why I am stuck with these last 15 lbs.

I've said to DH multiple times... We need to get our act together before Robert thinks he's being raised by a bunch of college freshmen. lol
  • We used to cook almost every meal but we're having to rely on convenience foods more. I try to keep those reasonably healthy but sometimes you just want Taco Bell.
