PIP your crafting storage

What's the best way to store fabric? What I have just isn't working. I think my problem is that I'm keeping crafting, homeschooling, and rotating toys in the same area. It gets so messy so quick. What I wouldn't give for a 3 hour chunk of time with no kids to devote to organizing it...

I currently have it folded in bins on a cheep target bookshelf. I see so many great options on Pinterest but don't have the room for anything fancy.

I don't have a picture of my setup at the moment, but I use this method for folding my fabric:

It's great for keeping them all the same size and is very quick and simple to do.  And then similar to what is shown in the tutorial, I stack them on shelves in my craft room closet organized by color.  My fabric used to be a mess and this has helped me greatly! 

I also keep fabric scraps minimum of 1/2 yard inside clear plastic bins.  I fold them the same way, but with a smaller ruler.
